    Waitrose Tiramisu

Shamefully I have taken full advantage of this offer all week.

    I have a suggestion

Off topic, but here's a match bet for you, Nathan. Price up who wrote this - "I'd have to take a hit on each to cash out" I reckon NathBet should go: No Offers DesertOrchid A Million Mike007 on The Racing Forum

    Favourite/ least favourite courses

Beverley is my favourite out of sentimentality - first track I ever visited and I know every blade of grass as I used to run 2m round there every Sunday morning, starting at the 5f gate. Least favourite, controversially, is Cheltenham. Stands set too far back from the run in, also no obstacle...

    Bummer

There has to be a McDonalds-free solution to this. I'd just get off the Nanny State wi-fi and onto 4g personally. We live in a world where it is blindingly obvious to anyone who can count that you withdraw more money from betting accounts than deposit into them yet your bank still asks if...

    Going to the dogs

I got told some right unsavoury dog racing stories when working the Hull betting shop circuit 1981/83. IIRC I've been dog racing at Harringay, Wembley, Catford, Milton Keynes, Wimbledon, Perry Barr, Oxford, Romford and Henlow.

    The Epsom Derby

Arabian Crown NR. Come on, the Ambiente! City Of Troy winning would be an alright result too, tbh, as I took a bit of 12/1 last year, but I still can't have him, certainly not at current odds.

As a pointless windup merchant, you're champion jockey material, so I would have to concur.

    York(3)

The 15/8 with the William Hill Organisation earlier in the week has long gone, but he's currently on the ease to the relatively small early money on the machine at 2.72 currently. He looks like a favourite with a favourite's chance to me - as I was impressed at Meydan - but he does have to...

    York(3)

Unfortunately, as I personally rate the penalised Tower Of London a few pounds above his current OR and consider him progressive, I think the market is priced about right. So I'm no help to anyone - sorry!

I am really looking forward to the Yorkshire Cup tomorrow.

    York(2)

I'm pretty sure I saw Clarendon House win on a visit to Bath once and that's one of the few tracks that still has genuinely-Firm ground sometimes. So long as Andrew Cooper doesn't overdo it with the watering (he's usually worse for it ahead of Oaks Day than on the eve of Derby Day, I think...

And Clarendon House wins for DesertOrchid! All bar one of the horse's Turf wins had "Firm" in the going description and that one was on officially Good ground.

Fantastic advice - I'm a sucker for those!

    York(2)

Market drift is never great, but it worries me less in higher-grade (hence higher integrity) racing. I suspect York market fluctuations today are driven, at least in part, by speculation about the ground.
