    Bummer

Yes that’s right you can use a phone as a wi-fi hotspot apparently. I think your phone will generate a password and then you need to select your phone as a wi-fi connection hub on the laptop and enter the password. You’ll be asked to approve access on your phone

    Bummer

4g (or 5G) only available on phones usually. I think you could get a SIM card to use on an iPad but not sure it’s possible on a laptop

What are you backing Today? Part 2

7.30 Aintree Into Overdrive 14/1 seems reasonable. His win in the 2022 Rowland Meyrick is probably more than the others have achieved and he did go off 10/1 for the 2023 Ultima. Only seen twice since, firstly in the attritional 2023 Rowland Meyrick and secondly over an inadequate trip...

    The worlds worst bookie

I’m sick to death of ITV giving the impression bookmakers are being generous when they refund stakes on one that’s whipped round at the start or refused to exit the stalls and has been deemed a runner on course. I can’t recall backing a winner in any of these races but I’d be surprised if they...

What are you backing Today? Part 2

3.15 Haydock Tintintin 18/1 Bet365 (5 places) is only 1lb worse off with Rare Middleton from Cheltenham running and three times the price. Granted Freddie Gingell dropped his whip that time but the selection seemed to wander around on the run-in and may find this flat course more to his liking

What are you backing Today? Part 2

4.05 Kempton Killer Kane is back down to his last winning mark which came over C&D. 5/1 seems decent value. Met an old friend at the beach this morning who goes by the name of Kane so hopefully a good omen

    Punchestown Festival 2024

I think Sire du Berlais has won more for me than any other horse in training but his last run looked a bit laboured (ran on for 5th but through beaten horses I think) It’s hard to see past Teahupoo and he can be backed at evens with SkyBet (they restricted me to £12.50 though). Asterion Forlonge...

    The worlds worst bookie

Same here they wouldn’t accept a fifer each way at SP. No problem placing the same stake at the price quoted which was 3 or 4 points shorter than anyone else. Even the each way extra price at B365 was better than SkyBet I’m sure you’re right DO but I’m a bit surprised you got an email - I never...

Paul Townsend a tad over confident there perhaps? Congrats Fastorslow backers

    Punchestown Festival 2024

Well that was closer than it looked like being going to the last and with High Class Hero’s clumsy jump at the last I thought it was all over

    Latest affordability check news

The Gambling Commission has announced a 6 month pilot for “frictionless” affordability checks. This means frictionless for the “vast majority” apparently. Personally I don’t see how any form of affordability check can be frictionless. There must be friction somewhere. Are we really expected to...
