Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

He’s coming down to Cornwall to Racehorse Relief if I remember rightly - weather they’ll use him as a flagship for them or rehome him hasn’t been said. ( unless I’ve missed it, which is quite possible !!) nice chap, hope he does well :)

    Favourite/ least favourite courses

I quite liked Ludlow - it used to be about the only lad’s canteen that had lemon meringue pie 😁 Stratford is a favourite of mine, despite losing my horse there. And going to cheltenham feels very much like going home. Flat racing wise I quite liked York and I agree with the Sandown vote above...

    The Gardening Thread

Chaumi, it’s great!! I had an Acer like that when I lived in Dorset - it was over the pond and looked really pretty when it was in full leaf. I love chaos in a garden - the brighter and more cottagey the better. My garden here is rubbish, but being a rental place I can’t do anything with it...

That’s what they do at Cheltenham- they water. Regardless of the forecast. ( I’ve still not forgiven them 🤣🤣) Have a great time all you who are going - I used to love this meeting, miss it now school gets in the way, I can’t argue that it’s maths any more!

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Horrible wasn’t it. I’d hoped maybe it wasn’t dreadful when they said he walked into the ambulance, but that’s a long way from being ok.

Dan Skelton and Paul Nicholls primed for two-week title showdown with Willie Mullins

Wasn’t it him who got in the ridiculous state with Martin pipe a few years back where they were both running horses who should have been put away weeks before because they were so desperate to win it?

    ITV Tuesday 16 April 9pm It’s Showtime

I watched it - I reckon it was meant to be a showcase of men and their mental health, the racing was very much a background player ( IMO) it was nice though - and hearing how they all keep each other going was really lovely. If ITV wanted to showcase how ownership doesn’t have to cost a fortune...
