A) Dwindling attendance drop…..easy don’t be greedy easy reduce entrance prices and food and drink prices.
B) Start fiasco’s ,either have speed cameras showing approach speeds (a horse trot is typically 8-12mph) plus a display on the starter’s rostrum showing a count down to off time instead of having Mick Fitzgerald shouting it out to the jockeys!!

I haven’t seen any cocaine fuelled violence this year . They probably need more than one dog sniffing it out - I have only spotted one this year.

I've never understood this idea of walking them in from a furlong away. It's begging them to gradually break into a canter.

And I've never understood the idea of having them approach the start from off a bend.
My thoughts exactly.
Japanese or Hong Kong have a barrier behind the horses pushing them gently towards the starting stalls.
Something similar to keep them in the "starting zone " should not be too difficult to arrange.
Starting them around a bend is bullocks imo.

You are right on both accounts.
And how do they measure times when he let's them go 200 yds from the start line,as in the bumper.

I think the timing is only triggered when they cross the start line but in that instance they have a running start as opposed to standing/trot when the line's crossed.

It has been a farce, though, for sure.

Not nearly enough sniffer dogs. They should be placed outside every loo because that's where it's going on. I went with someone a few years ago who took coke and they walked straight past the dog (I was not happy just in case you think I agree with it!!)

That's my understanding too but the running start is the reason why, when I run videos sumultaneously, I time them from when the leaders take the first fence.

30p off a pint of Guinness for this season, some more changes as well

I still think ticket prices are the biggest issue, £70 on the day for the Best Mate enclosure is scandalous

Just set the ticket prices and keep them the same ffs

This year a room on Sat 15th for 250 (some a lot lot more) is 50 on the monday 17th, just means with that and tickets and travel you are looking over 400 before you get to gambling , drinking and eating.
Did it last year with Danny, luckily the gambling paid for it and then some, had the added bonus of betting on Wolverhampton in the bookies on Saturday night.
