    The 2025 Spring Cup (Handicap)

I read somewhere that Cogitate of Charlie Hills was working well. Won with three of his last six runners and just crept in at the bottom of the handicap. Hollie Doyle takes the ride ( she won on him on his first start as a 2yo over 7 furlongs on similar ground at this course).

    Flatties To Follow 2025

A good friend of mine who I regularly bump into at York races told me to keep an eye out for City of Poets a 3yo trained by James Tate. It is entered at Thirsk on Saturday (if my memory serves me right he won with Top Rank at the same meeting in 2019). Top Rank later went on to be listed class...

The 2025 Scottish Grand National (Handicap Chase)

The horse I am interested in is The Kniphand trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies. Allotted 10:00 and usually ridden by his 3lb claimer Finn Lambert. Best efforts have been on flat courses and will act on the ground. 20/1 freely available.

    The 2025 Grand National

Exactly. I backed Grangeclare West today and was buoyed by the fact that every so called expert dismissed it's chances just like they did with Oliver Show last Saturday. They just tip the obvious on their last run!!!!

    The 2025 Grand National

Also all the so called experts seemed to concentrate on form in previous runnings of the race. Four of the last five winners had not set foot on Aintree before the race.

    The 2025 Grand National

On a line through the third he would have been Involved in the finish.

    The 2025 Grand National

Feel a bit gutted. On the last three Saturdays I have backed: Leloopa took 33/1 won @ 22/1 Oliver Show took 33/1 unlucky 2nd @ 25/1 now Grangeclare West unlucky 3rd @ 33/1 Will definitely be sticking to outsiders though!!! To make matters worse I drew the winner in the ITV7 draw and did not back...

Horses you never forgave and couldn’t like

The Demon Barber for me. Was at Ascot in 94/95 ish and had backed the first three winners in singles doubles and accumulator. The fourth leg was a horse called Classic Statement who would pull himself up if in the front for too long. Going to the 2nd last Classic Statement was sat behind the...

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

Charlie Hammond would have been looking forward to ride Miami Magic in the 1:55 at Aintree on Saturday. Stuart Edmunds only runner at the meeting (his latest two runners both won at Fakenham on Tuesday). Brian Hughes deputises and 14/1 is on offer at Bet Victor.

    Aintree (other races)

I also backed Inedit Star ew @ 50/1 same jockey who rode Leelopa 33/1 into 22/1 for me at Kelso recently.

    Aintree (other races)

Lulamba could have been Hendersons winner today if he had run him!!!! These things quite often come back to bite you.

    The 2025 Grand National

I would expect Mullins national horses to tighten up in the betting from now on in.
