What are you backing Today? Part 2

Taken 5/2 about Steel Ally in the 3.00 at Ascot. There was tons to like about his win at Carlisle and whilst I respect the favourite to me losing to Wendigo over 2m4 suggests is he all that? Wendigo is a pure 3m+ horse and that defeat doesn't qualify him to be as short as he is today.

The 2025 Silver Cup Handicap Chase

Wouldn't mind. My best win would be Blow Your Wad thanks to 12/1 ante and a couple of rollovers but I put Victtorino in a tidy double with the Gosden horse that beat Dubai Honour at Kempers last night. Pic Roc worries me.

So why run him last weekend at a course he plainly doesn't act on. Very poor programming and for me rules him out of contention for this race.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

He's not but I've never been a ground punter, didn't really care. What a good f$%^ing race that was. Hunter Legend and Destroy both travelled awful but I never had Neon Moon down as a three miler so wasn't without hope. Didn't account for Ballycamus.

Oh mate you've made me have a look at that race. If the ground isn't that soft I might have to back Destroytheevidence.

Fine Casting overpriced in the 2.33 at Newbury. Not on the top of the market.

The 2025 Silver Cup Handicap Chase

Pic Roc I'm afraid of, same with Henry's Friend although I can't see him running a week after the Cheltenham race. Can someone shed any light as to why Johnnywho isn't 16s+ - I can't see any form claim (second in a terrible Kim Muir, big deal) and he's handled by the most unreliable trainer in...

Ante Post jumps discussion thread 2025/26

Really good card at Ascot on Sat and obviously the big races all have their own threads but the Howden Graduation Chase has been priced up by Sky/Powers and what a strange market: Firefox 15/8 Iroko 5/2 James du Berlais 3/1 Blueking D 4/1 Leave of Absence 10/1 Jeriiko Du R 12/1 Issam 16/1 First...

    The 2025 Long Walk Hurdle

Will be very interested in this market. Would expect Inpose Toi and Strong Leader to be the top two but Crambo might be a nice price - I have no idea why he was in the Ascot Hurdle last time over 2 and a half and the way he was positioned in the race suggested to me he was just there to blow the...

The 2025 Silver Cup Handicap Chase

Big race for me. I took 12s about Blow Your Wad when prices opened and put him in a double with Jordans Cross yesterday (a strategy I really like, if I have a tracker at 3s or shorter I always parlay them with either other horses or NBA/NFL future bets). I suppose Venetia's will be the danger.
