Champions Day

This fella State Actor and Iresine (3.55) my main fancies. I don't usually play placepots but I might have a go tomorrow, as Luke has stoked my interest.

Good luck everyone.
Potentially there could be a monster payout on the placepot tomorrow.A friend of mine is a placepot specialist and he will be making all the decisions.

8 to 10mm more rain on the hurdling course will make it very soft. Maybe less big shocks but a couple of high double figure winners incoming.
Maybe but I think the tendency for that to happen at this meeting is a function of the time of year as much as the ground. I've never been a ground punter and it's way over-factored imo and like Charyn is more vulnerable because he's been on the go since March but if he gets beat it'll be the ground, that will be the narrative.

Reckon Montassib won the Sprint Cup a piece easier n the result allows, goes on the ground and shoud improve for this stiffer test.
B365's 6/1 looks mifghty generous to me

Yes, good luck.

I had the first five placers in Ebor day at York this season, but only put on a yankee. I remember seeing the jaw dropping dividend afterwards and thinking, 'with those 5 plus one more I would have landed the placepot today'.

GS reading 6.4 both, tracks this morning, whichindicares ground won't be too testing.

Track will cut up though by champions stakes. Could be tacky ground which very few horses cope with. We shall see but I expect at least a couple of big price winners.

I've come round to Trawlerman in that race. Has a victory over Kyprios and I guess he's bigger than he should be because of ground worries. I'm not worried and he's out of a Monsun mare anyway.

Well ridden there on the best horse. Trawlerman found out by lack of a run....important when there’s cut that they are fit enough!

Easy peasy for the winner.
Sweet William silly price at 12s. Never gonna be out the 3.

Flora of Bermuda 155 prob not good enough. 3rd
King's gambit. 255
Bopedro. 335 at least I've got a good price. 33/1 and 25/1

Economics reportedly bled which is a slight concern as this is the second time (did after York as well) also they felt the ground was too soft.
Rough old race but winner was unexposed really at this level due to injury.

Didn't think a Night of Thunder could have the ground too soft:unsure:
