Having occasionally visited this site looking for interesting horse racing content and noted many of the sensible contributors and tone of discussions, I’ve decided to take the plunge and become a member.

The timing is related to this being, in my view, the most exciting part of the racing year. I love horses and horse racing and don’t really have a preference between National Hunt and the Flat. However, Cheltenham is my favourite.

I have followed the sport keenly since I was 5, and Arkle (and the voice of Peter O’Sullivan) was probably responsible for getting me hooked on it in the first place.

My approach to betting is to look for good value long shots, so that thread is of particular interest to me and I was quite taken by the postings on the Fred Winter thread, as many of the thoughts expressed on there were similar to mine.

Anyway, wishing you all an enjoyable and successful Cheltenham.

Welcome and enjoy the mad house! If you have time, I am running a competition this week - put your entry in on the right thread by 12.30pm tomorrow!! All adds to the excitement
