While eating six Tesco onion bhajis this evening, I found myself pondering a manifest gap in the economic space.

Afaik, no supermarket stocks a version of that yellow mint sauce you get in Indian restaurants and takeaways.

They are so missing a trick.

My local Tesco was closed today - I had to go to M&S Food Hall instead.

I doubt if Walsworth will ever speak to me again.

M&S used to do a very good meal deal, if memory serves. It was something like £10 for two mains, two sides and a bottle of M&S plonk. It became very popular so they bumped the price up and then stopped it.

I think they're doing a new version of it but it's got mega expensive.

I used to go for the meal deals when they had chicken as part of it - two chickens that size and quality for roasting plus drinks wouldn’t be far off £20 - there are soft drinks as an option as well, so we’d get a bottle and whatever soft drink was there and the sides and desert you can’t usually go wrong with anyway.
