The Fist Of Fury Royal Ascot Cup 2025

It was clearly unfortunate Mgheera was a very late non runner as loads had her selected, but nobody had time to replace her.

Anyway, four races in, still all to play for. Well done to Beef Or Salmon so far who leads with 37 points after having Rosallion place, Gstaad win and Field Of Gold win as a NAP.

Coach Miguel's in second place with 35 points, while Desert Orchid is tracking leaders with 30 points!

Who can get some momentum and consistency going, that could be the key here I feel, but a long way to go

Under "Big race trends" the Sun newspaper had a very good wright up about why Haatem should win the Wolferton Stakes. Very compelling but I read it too late

Scores after day 1 below - A really good performance from Coach Miguel whose results stick out like a sore thumb, I'm sure a few people, including myself, will be seeing what he selects tomorrow. He had four winners today, including Gstaad, Field Of Gold, Ascending and French Master, plus Regional and Kings Gambit who placed. Going into day two he's trying to pull clear with 60 points, but there's still a long way to go, with New Approach and Beef Or Salmon hanging on to his coattails with 47 points each. Table as follows...

Coach Miguel 60
New Approach 47
Beef Or Salmon 47
Nuggsy 39

Thanks for your work on this TFT and well done Coach Miguel in particular - some very good tipping there. Enjoy counting your winnings!

Yes, if he, (I believe CM is a he), carries on like this he'll be a tough nut to crack.

It's no problem doing the comp. I don't fully trust AI for something like this, so I am using my own head while also using the spreadsheet to note down selections and scores etc. It's for a good cause and that's the main thing.

Coach Miquel is like that unknown golfer who shoots 65 to lead The Open on Day one. Lucky to make the cut. The big names are lurking.
I thought Bobby Clampett might have been one of those players, but he only managed a 67 in the opening round of the 1982 Open at Troon. A second round of 66 wasn't too bad either. Pity about the final two rounds where he carded 78 and 77, and finished only four strokes behind the winner, Tom Watson.

Wasn’t he one of The Beverly Hillbillies?
