The 2025 Paddy Power Gold Cup (Handicap Chase)

I see my longshot Issar d'Airy has been taken out as well.

I was torn between Jagwar and Vincenzo for this but backing both wasn't very appealing. With the former out I'm happy to have a bet on Vincenzo.

I'm kicking myself.

The brother emailed me during the week to ask me if I'd looked at the race.

I replied, "When Hoe Joly Smoke ran the other week I thought it was getting a classic Skelton prep for something down the line and I thought maybe the Hennessy but it isn’t entered. I’m not seeing much in Panic Attack’s form to understand why Harry would opt for her but she is very lightly raced over fences for her age and did look like a novice going places three seasons back before seemingly having issues. They might feel it’s time she paid her way."

And did nothing about it.

A curious ride by Charlie Deutsch I thought. Gave the horse no chance having been 4 or 5 lengths last at one time before running on to be 6th
Aye. I thought he was getting pulled up, so an eye catching run to finish where he did. He's one for another day, but well done Danny and Kirsty, I'm extremely pleased for them.

Even though it was favourite and ultimately the one I fancied the most, I kept writing the bet off on Vincenzo through the race. Its jumping just wasn't inspiring me with any confidence and when I saw the Skelton mare coming heading for the last I won't deny I muttered, "Ach, fvck right off, Skelton..."

I like Vincenzo's jockey and maybe the horse did its best on the day but I can't help thinking we'll see it run much better in the future, maybe on a more conventional track. It certainly beat everything else that raced prominently by a fair way.

Only just seen the rest of these posts dunno why people were congratulating me im sure i said Panic Attack was the last horse id have backed in the race haha.

It's always a circle jerk on here at the weekends. They didn't want to leave you out.

Indeed - IIRC the whole reason why I expected you to be arrested was you said you'd lunge at Skelton if he dared land a gamble in yet another big handicap!

Many read what they want to read and see what they want to see.

Quite amazing as the 14/1 winner i actually put up on Friday didn't raise a solitary eyebrow.

This gives me a complete new freedom as now I know nobody and I mean absolutely f%£king nobody is paying any attention to anything i say.

Tbf to Robicheaux i smelt the Sarcasm so fair enough :)

And you STILL didn't listen to me as we stood by the paddock and I said I was backing Panic Attack. In fact you even said something along the lines of "well of course you are a complete genius so perhaps I should be backing it considering your vast knowledge....."

:ROFLMAO: :cheerleader:
