Ian Davies

I'm sure we have all heard of "Born Again Christians," well, what's good for the God botherers can be good for TH members too.

It's high time existing members were given a second chance at reinventing themselves here on this thread, which thus doubles in scope from mere introductions to embrace reintroductions too.

It's a bit like renewing your vows, but without having to get married - bonus all round!

So, hello, my name is Ian Davies and my latest pitch is I'm not actually as big a See You Next Tuesday as you might have thought.

I'm worse.

That was from a bloke called Kieron Moore and Kieron wasn't my biggest fan, so it's safe to assume that, whatever it was, it wasn't complimentary.

I've no idea what he meant by it either - I apologise for resurrecting the thread as I feel partly responsible for the 15 minutes you're never getting back!

Dulce Domum!

Yes, like Mole in Wind In The Willows, I find myself suddenly missing my original TH home.

High time I started using this platform to promote a betting strategy which I'm definitely not going to start inviting forumites to DM me about at some point then start charging them money for.

I shall be laying (because it sounds cleverer than backing, even though it isn't) horses at unspecified odds to win unspecified amounts of money, rendering it impossible to follow, but nevertheless expecting everyone to be interested.

I can offer one insight, though, it's based on my personal tissue prices on each race which take account of the little-known theory I have that a "P" in form figures does not stand for "pulled up" but actually stands for "pissed up."

I expect everyone - and especially Slim - to make this thread their first port of call every day going forwards.

We keep chickens in our back garden,
Feed ‘em on Indian corn,
One’s a f***er for f***ing the other,
The other’s a f***er for corn.

There used to be a wonderful column in the Observer by Katharine Whitehorn called Dulce Domum. I often find some of them that I cut out and put into various books.
