What are you backing Today? Part 2

Yes well done Slim unfortunately I made my bet before seeing Slims tip
I also have gone for Callisto Queen in the 15:28 Warwick
If Slim tips Jollie Dame then I'm probably doomed:oops:

it was surprising that neither PDO or IEF seemed to want to lead. Gidleigh Park probably done no favours by that but he probably wouldn’t have won anyway. Writing was on the wall for me when they said on ITV that Harry Fry was thinking of pulling him

Wish I saw that. Got stuck into Gidleigh. Dont rate Jango in the slightest.

Actually looking at him again now at the start he looks better - sometimes when you take the rugs off, they perk up

Its what seperates good punters and me 🤣. I have horses I cant take to, Grey Dawning and Jango to name two. Rather than just admitting they’ll win, I try back against them.
(Id have bet Gidleigh regardless tbh)
Don't beat yourself up over it - I missed a winner I had marked up as one to back at Wincanton on Thursday while I was there. Then I looked down and saw the owner (who I know personally and can't stand) so I left it - it won at 9-1.... 😂 Serves me right!

Thing is dont get fixed on the opinion you had pre race if you get it wrong. I wouldn't have backed Jango yesterday as some of Hendersons have needed the run fto. Whether you were like me and Ian and thought Pic d'hory was the most likely around here or like you backing Gidleigh and why not he'd beat Jango at Aintree last year and he was the bigger price of the two. Either or were reasonable enough bets pre flop imo.

However after the race that goes out of the window. Firstly I read after the race that Jango had picked up an injury at Aintree so that a reasonable excuse for that performance that I didnt know before hand. His Arkle win was the weirdest you'd ever see but one thing that was clear from that was his future lay over further and yes it was a win by default but judging by the run of Leau d sud since they are probably a decent bunch.

You fancied Gidleigh Park so must of thought something of him and looks like he's ran an absolute cracker. Pic d seems to have run his race even if a bit below his best but he is getting older. Jango has blew both of them away without any bother. And even if you know absolutely nothing about speed ratings he's run faster than standard on softish ground without being absolutely flat out. That's first time out when there is something left to work on.

When you make flash statement like you'd lay him all day for the KG id try and reason why before you say it. Now im not saying he'll win the King George but why the hell would you lay it. Look at the King George, Garlic warrior favourite, he was favourite for it last year and didnt turn up, neither did the majority of the Irish entries. Again Irish entries make up most of the front of the market here but id doubt most of them show. Jango and Jukebox definitely go barring injury and either would have a fair chance on what they've done so far. Grey Dawning flopped in it last year. Has Fact to File won over 3 mile yet ? Fast or Slow has gotta prove he's over an injury. You'd be really struggling atm to make as stronger case for anything as you could the for the homeside pair. The one put up a whacking performance yesterday, the other a Feltham winner who's showed he's over his injury with a lovely prep yesterday.

See if the Durkan provides anything as attractive this afternoon.
