I've stopped calling it the Hennessy - be proud of me.

Weights were out recently, so time to have a look.

Here's one from out of left field - probably won't get in and needs the weights to rise, but Pic Roc is a progressive 7yo from a yard that's going places and although it was a bit of a nothing race at Huntingdon, he didn't half bolt in in it.

Haiti Couleurs looked terrific today at Newbury. Won what I thought was a hurdle prep run for this and if he turns up is going to take some beating.
Looks like he’s going for the Betfair at Haydock instead. Tough ask.

Likely ground.....anyone reasonably close by?
I live 18 miles south of the track down the A339.

Strong possibility of further rain from Wednesday through to Saturday - if I had to guess what it will be on the day I'd say Soft, but no worse, and Good to Soft if the rain doesn't materialise.

The weights have gone up, it can run off its mark and, win or lose, I can't have it being 40/1.

I make it 16/1, 20s at a push.

I can see why Panic Attack is shortening, she was very impressive in the Paddy Power and Bachelors Hall and Bright Highway both did this double back in the day.

But has anything in her career ever suggested she wants this trip?

She's by Canford Cliffs, ffs, though that said he's got stock that stayed further than he was ever raced over.

I was looking through earlier and thought the same about both. I cant get on with the firms who are top price on both and I already have 2 antepost positions on Myretown and Doyen Chief so happy to let them ride and see what prices are available on the day. Can see the SkeleScum ones price evaporating pretty fast tbh.

Gorgeous Tom just annoys me as a horse now. They don't know what to do with him.
They could well have been protecting the mark. That 2nd to Lecky Watson was a right good show . It augured well for the future and he's bred to stay, isn't he. It's his first handicap and perhaps they knew the time of day after the Browns when he was allotted the 150.

I think they do know what they're doing with him. He had some lovely runs over distances that were always going to be too sharp. He's lightly raced with just 13 runs and as he strengthens, staying could be the name of the game.

He looks a lively proposition to me.
