Will settle fur that Dream Illusion wins 1st 7/1 i backed it the time before last then it went and won at a huge price,git 9s on bf,the fav Imola one to take on all the time and Mercurius Power places 11/1...Liberty Bird drited like a barge 5.5 put to 13s so left any easy decision Fahey drifters no chance to bet the other especially with poor fav.I've backed Pallas Lord and Wyvern out of Dream Illusions last race ad both did nothing,even though time was decent..

All unplaced,a a losing day backed one winner but the rest was trash,there's an inevitability on some of these cards i should not be betting on lots of them,just riding my luck..Can't believe the cards won't become more competitive and interesting than these at some point..

Portoro is almost always a rear runner, isn't he. Can't get the sectionals, but seemed like it was fast-enough run to me. On the face of it, appears Portoro ran his usual race but couldn't keep up after a furlong - you could see he seemed struggling to go the pace, and had to exert too much effort to try and stay in touch. The winner came from nearly where Portoro was, but had a more relaxed run throughout hence the strong finish.

You can probably mark the Portoro run up, given he finished where he did.

Is there no race result that can't be explained away with sectionals? There's being dropped in and there's being ridden to be certain not to win.

This posting has been bothering me pretty much it was made.

While I can forgive Bar The Bull for an early intervention on the very first page of this thread way back when - as he surely didn't appreciate that which was to come - several hundred pages later it should be obvious this thread is the private kingdom of gigilo (aka Andy).

When I rejoined Talking Horses I immediately realised this thread was a no-go area for other people's tips under the unwritten constitution of this great forum.

I'm also concerned by the repeated use of the term "striking at" - is it another way of talking about a strike rate, or a reference to industrial action?

Despite taking a course in Industrial Relations Law in my final year at Warwick University, I find myself perplexed.

Anyway, Lingfield Park and Chelmsford City this afternoon and this evening respectively - Andy gives the AW extra interest every day of the week and long may it continue.
