To balance this faux pas somewhat, I am happy to kind of aftertime that I took 18/1 Jupiter Des Mottes yesterday in the Pertemps qualifier. It's now 5/1 tops. I'm assuming someone like Pricewise is keen on it. (It isn't my main bet - that one's price is moving in the wrong direction . I also plan to have a saver on a qualifier for the longshot thread. I'll stick it on that thread once I've backed it.)

This one was 20s in a few places around 8am but I went downstairs to stick the kettle on and make the porridge. When I came back upstairs it was 18s tops but not blue so I thought the prices would correct themselves again and I'd get at least 20s. Then I forgot about it!

*Now it's around 10s and blue across the board and I've had to settle for 11/1 and it still isn't my main bet (which is still some way longer than I 'stole' yesterday).

it still isn't my main bet (which is still some way longer than I 'stole' yesterday).

I was a wee bit embarrassed that I might have been on a non-trier so didn't name it but the money seems to have come for it so I'll put my head above the parapet with it: Minella Emperor (took 5/1 yesterday and it went out to 15/2 this morning).
