Don't think National Colour would make much of a Stallion!

Hard to pin down exactly how good he is, but he certainly didn't look short of speed last weekend and his form in beating Intrepid Jack and Starlit Sands relatively easily puts him up there with our leading sprinters....

I thought Willoughby's article on the KG was very good today (although I don't agree with his view on Duke Of Marmalade). He also definitely had the right horse at the top of his O'Brien legends list.

Their advertised price on Saturday and in the pricewise table was 7-2. When we originally went up with the book we made MN 10-3 fav with Phoenix Tower 4-1. Ladbrokes joined the market on Monday, made Phoenix their 7-2 fav and Mount Nelson 4-1 and even sent out a press release about how...

That is incorrect. Coral (among others probably) had Mount Nelson as outright fav all day. Ladbrokes were 7-2 in the paper. Presumably connections backed it with them prompting them to go 3s. The fact remains - until that price change they hadn't been with the horse all week.

Eh? Ladbrokes were the firm taking on Mount Nelson earlier in the week - their PR man was quoted as saying why they fancied Phoenix Tower and made it favourite. I think ladbrokes were 7-2 on the morning, which was pretty much the general price, although there was some 4-1 available.

Thanks rory. Yes, we did have a decent bet on DC yesterday - win only -so it was a bit close for comfort (!), but delighted with the outcome... She had actually run quite a bit better than her finishing position suggested on her last couple of starts at Sandown and Newmarket - a point picked...

SL - I don't think it is a case of everyone "turning" on Great Leighs. It was rightly applauded for providing excellent racing facilities when it opened behind closed doors. The criticism came when it had to justify the public paying £20 a head to get into the place.

C'mon TDK, clivex, considering that everyone knows the place is still a building site, what do they expect [I] I would say not to be charged £20 to get in and the ability to see than more than about half a furlong of a race!
