    Lockinge Stakes

I like Dick Turpin but also intrigued by Worthadd - can't imagine he's come from Italy just on a fishing trip. Should be a good race.

    Kentucky Derby ..Saturday May 7

I like Midnight Interlude, but that's only from glancing through the form. Have not seen any previews and know very little about American racing, so obviously won't be having a bet.

    Retirements & Departures 2011

Real shame about Juveigneur. I loved that horse when he was racing, remember seeing him win and be placed at a few Cheltenham Festivals.

    Retirements & Departures 2011

SURFACE TO AIR, 8th in the Grand National retired after picking up a leg strain. Reading the owner/trainer comments on RP, sounds like he's very lucky to have connections like that. From the Racing Post SURFACE TO AIR, who finished eighth at 100-1 in the John Smith's Grand National this...

The Road to the Grand National 2011

Am off to Lingfield, but will be e/w backing Killyglen and Niche Market. Also think both Tidal Bay and Character Building could run big races, but won't be backing them!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Pricewise - I upload mine to an external hosting site and then use the insert image link above to directly link the pics to here. Can take a while to upload to the other site, but quick transfer from there to here. Hope this helps.

    Post Cheltenham Withdrawal Symptoms

Back to my triathlon training! 4 days at Cheltenham was my "break". Got to cover 70 miles in 9 and a half hours in June. That's something to focus on. But my idea of "fun" has always been warped!! :o) Plus just being thankful for being there rather than watching the Festival on the telly.

    So how did you do?

As far as the betting went... backed Buena Vista, Faasel and Fair Along each way so happy with those three. My mum gave me a fiver for her, I put it as £2.50 e/w on Holmwood Legend and walked back in with £125 for her! She was very happy and I am now in the good books. But nothing compared...

    Unedifying sight ?

I am well aware that racing can sometimes be a hard game, but had to re-read the report in the RP. Watching on TV, saw a horse pull himself up exhausted before the last and believed on 2 had finished the Eider. That horse was Morgan Be, who "stopped for a breather before the last", before...

    Life sucks ...

Lol - the joys of cats! Our black cat regularly seems to enjoy dashing out and running down the stairs in front of us - especially on bleary eyed dark mornings. One day, she will have one of us over!
