    The Leger

It is now trained by Jeremy Noseda. ;)

    Winston replaces Spencer!

His ride on Patkai last Saturday was odd to say the least, well from what I could see anyway. Perhaps it was merely trainer instruction, but he seemed to have him too far back for a horse who stays 2m.

    Geoff Wragg to retire

Totally concur with the above comment on Hills' ride in the '95 King George on Pentire - he went far too soon. I am in the autumn of my life and I remember Harry Wragg as a trainer and was always a great follower of him and he trained some decent horses, my favourite of course was Pentire and...

    5.50 Newmarket

Delegator had the race won until running around close home and Cecil horse finally gathered his stride and won well in the end. Two nice colts in the making.

    5.50 Newmarket

Absolutely Melendez, you make a valid point, but Samara Valley was a shade of odds on for her debut at Lingfield in May and was only fourth that day. Looking at recent stats with Cecil's newcomers, which is 0-8 as I read it this year, I couldn't be a backer at the current prices.

    5.50 Newmarket

It must be poor Andrew and I was told a couple of weeks ago to never back any of Henry's first timers as he doesn't train them to be ready first time out. I think he had a filly called Midday at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago who was well talked up and she was doing her best work late and looked...

    5.50 Newmarket

Hope it is OK to start this thread, but I am enquiring into a horse called DELEGATOR who runs in the first race today at Newmarket. I scouted around a couple of forums just now and saw him mentioned a couple of times as a 'serious horse' and a 'potential superstar'. I was wondering if anyone was...

    Goodwood Friday

Chris, a great write up, but do you really think Masaalek's progression has plateaued??? I mean, he is a May foal and on the basis of his last two runs surely has more to come? Perhaps I'm wrong. :(

Godolphin - Sick, lame and Lazy coming along.

Cheers Chris. Seems like Majestic Marauder has fallen off the radar! :(

Godolphin - Sick, lame and Lazy coming along.

Hi Chris, I was wondering how Third Set was coming along as he looked a serious contender for some nice prizes over a mile this summer after a successful UAE Carnival. Also, whatever happened to Majestic Marauder? I know Stoute held him in very high esteem and then he was transfered...

Jebel Ali Stables & Racecourse EBF Maiden

Christopher Tsui owns him and apparently, the horse has been working well (so I have heard) though surely he will come on for the run.

    Newmarket-day two

If may add my humble thoughts, I think Steele Tango is a really good value bet in the 2.35. He has done nothing but progress throughout the season and his only defeat came at the hands of General Elliott in a messy little event at Sandown, but looked like he would get the 10f trip last time when...

    Foolin Myself

Thanks for the help guys. It is a real shame he picked up the injury as we all know how good his form is looking from last season. He is bred to improve with age anyway, so if he heals up well, the best is yet to come. I have always been a big follower of Bill Gredley's horses since the 80's...

    Foolin Myself

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any news on the Barry Hills trained colt who beat Tartan Bearer last season at Newmarket? I thought he too may turn out to be a classic contender and indeed held an entry for the Dante, but have heard nor seen anything of him since?
