Not wishing to detract from Billy Loughnane's marvellous achievement in reaching 222 winners from 1321 rides. It is worth remembering that in 1947 the great Sir Gordon Richards booted home 269 winners from just 835 rides. Now that's a record that will take some beating!!!

Well I am not one to hold a grudge but Billy Loughnane's horror ride on Oliver Show in the Lincoln handicap in March still gives me nightmares!!!
