Glad to see Mr Oldroyd made your list even though he drew a blank at York last week as did most of the northern trainers. However his three runners collectively were beaten less than a length and a half!!!!!

Betting shops - does anyone actually use them to bet on horses these days? Most of my friends only bet online. The nearest betting shop to me is a couple of miles away set in an area that would make Toxteth look posh!!!! The last time I set foot in the shop there was a lady harassing a punter...

I noticed just before the off on the Ebor the overround figure on SP betting was showing as 141%. I realise that most people on this forum strike their bets well in advance but it is worrying what the bookmakers will trade at if the proposed tax increases go through.
