    8l gain by Kargese according to Race IQ (Megan just mentioned on ITV. With that gain and the 2-3 lengths Danny poached at the start so he could dictate the pace it was bound to be difficult for the two favourites. Amazing how often the other jocks allow Danny to get a flier

    At the Trials meeting it was possible to get online in the Vestey bar but impossible outside. The course wi-fi was worse than 4G (5G a distant dream). I’d imagine it’s even worse at the festival

    We went to Newbury on Friday following a visit to Seven Barrows. Hadn’t been for more than 20 years and it was great to see how much the place had changed. Much better for spectators and we’re planning another visit soon
