Re the 2:45 - is seven green-and-gold in one race a record? I'm not sure I've seen the pink cap before.

    The 2026 Longshot Thread

Disappointing that Bleu D'Enfer runs from 7 lbs out of the handicap in the Scottish Champion Chase tomorrow. I thought he was well handicapped, but ... I guess as a Scot and a big supporter of Scottish racing the owner wants to be well represented on a big day at Musselburgh. Edit: Or perhaps...

    My notebook runners

I'm interpreting the drift on Act of Innocence as concerns that he won't be as effective over the extra distance in these conditions. Connections originally had him down as more likely for the Supreme and Old Park Star as likely to want further. I've laid off my Turners bet on AOI to wait and see.

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

Tempted by 20/1 Tommie Beau in the XC tomorrow? I don't think I saw the circumstances in which he ran out when racing this course in Nov 24, but he was favourite for that race off 143. Now off 128.

The Official Constitution Hill Thread 2025/26

That is a serious point. It might be long odds against, but if it happened it would be the worst disaster ever to hit jumps racing. If that's right, then it's not just a matter for connections. It raises the question, at what level of risk does the precautionary principle kick in, in the...

I've learned something about the history and longevity of TH from this thread. Respect! Edit: as for the 3:30 at Gowran Park, I really don't have a clue.

Ante Post jumps discussion thread 2025/26

Taking stock of my Cheltenham ante post bets - Bambino Fever - Turners - kaput Conman John - Albert Bartlett - kaput East India Dock - Stayers - kaput (I remembered an interview where James Owen said he would be campaigned at the Stayers, and so I started picking up fancy prices on the...

I did have a nibble. He didn't jump that quick on debut, but I'm hoping for improvement. I'll have a pop at 4/1 given the flat form.

Forum discipline bans (moved from Thyestes Handicap Chase.)

Surely the people who run this forum are entitled to set some rules about conduct and to do their best to enforce them. In fact, they're bound to - unmoderated forums are normally hellholes. If they in good faith decide someone should be suspended, that's the end of the story. I'm making no...

    Hi

I've heard of them being called bogeys and boxcarts ... but I'm pretty sure in Derby when I were a lad we called them go-carts.
