    Leopardstown Christmas Meeting

Patrick's RP article earlier this week states how they missed November with all the rain, haven't had a Bumper winner in Ireland since mid October and have 18 to start off over these days in Bumpers, today's runner being one of the best of them. Now I have given them the kiss of death they...

    2025 In Memoriam (Racing People)

Paul Kavanagh. Irish conditional who was killed in a motor accident in Co Limerick Christmas eve. Rode out for Enda Bolger and well supported by Michael Winters, he will be missed by all who knew him. All Irish jockeys wore black armbands riding today in his memory.

The 2025 King George VI Chase

What are the chances of a 1987 blow out when Dessie and Beau Ranger went too quick and Nupsala picked them off at 16/1. I can see Banbridge doing similar , in my dreams at least ! Course form has huge value here as Truncheon suggests. Great race whatever happens.

See you hopefully there, An Capall. I have another subject for your inquisitive pen, a man who witnessed Arkle's 3 Gold Cups wins on course. Racing either Sat/Sun or Sun/Mon.

    Season's Greetings, you lot

Best wishes all. It may be the season of good will but Alley Bar were revelling in anticipation of another inhouse Ml Winters double Saturday with Aleish Lass and River Vale. Better than Santa, anticipation wise at least.

    The 2025 Christmas Hurdle

That about sums it up Len. Golden Ace is consistent, reliable and jumps like a hurdler should. A lot of the others, including Sir Gino don't or haven't recently.

Mahler (21), Coolmore NH sire that stood at The Beeches Stud. Sire of The Real Whacker, The Big Dog, Ornua and the sale topper in November Dawn Of Light. Thankfully Whitegrass syndicate have a lease on a Mahler half sister to Cracking Rhapsody to remember him by.

    The 2025 Long Walk Hurdle

Plenty to like about Colonel Mustard; jockey and trainer not too well known across the water adds to the price being generous

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Blue Bresil (20) at Glenview Stud. Sire of Constitution Hill, Royal Pagaille, Mick's Jazz among others , he was the go to stallion when CH did his thing. Relations with the horse cooled off tis year with some horse folk saying they do not fulfil early promise. His first Irish crop were 4yos...

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

Khaadem is one of those prices this weekend in Sha Tin HKsprint. The Lion In Winter is 16/1 for the HK mile. Juicy prospect for an ew double methinks. Pity I just missed Mags Mullins' Cheltenham winner to fund it....
