What are you backing Today? Part 2

2.28 Saint-Cloud - Divine Christnat , can pass a positive message on from the offices for this one. Could be worth an EW interest at 9/1 with Sky or Paddy 🤞 🤞

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Lilian Odira is now as low as 17/2 after today's 1st Round win in the 800m - pretty sure she posted the fastest time also, but most importantly looked very comfortable in doing so. She's generally the second fav, and Keely is without doubt the one to beat still. Paddy P have not yet updated...

What are you backing Today? Part 2

I left school a couple of weeks before the Moscow Olympics of 1980 ........ was a huge Ovett fan.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Not at all Robicheaux, Keely Hodgkinson is as short as 1/10 and it is 16/1 bar - five runners between 16/1 and 50's ..... 100/1 bar the six. You would expect Keely to win ( I have a nagging doubt that the humidity will affect her performance ) ..... realistically you would expect the medals to...

What are you backing Today? Part 2

This is what I posted on Twitter earlier for anyone that maybe interested Athletics World Championships - Womens 800m Lilian Odira 1pt Win at 50/1 ( Gen ) & 3pts to win a medal at 5/1 ( Paddy Power ) looks far to generous to me. Keely ( too short ) aside it looks an open event, the 5's for any...

    The Cork "Scabs" Thread

With only Cork taking place - I'll certainly be assessing the Placepot situation, I'm sure the pool will be inflated quite a bit with regular backer having no other choices ........... Now for the hard part !

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Middle leg dipped unfortunately, which is a shame as the final leg produced a nice winner in Scent Of May who drifted to a very generous SP of 25/1

The 2025 York August Meeting Day 1 (Wednesday) thread

1.50 York ( Wed ) Tees Spirit maybe worth a small EW interest at 66/1 5 Places with Hill's or 40/1 7 Places with Sky - hit and miss these days ( more miss ) but is fairly weighted and this being the second run back since a wind op - having been off the track for nine weeks , should strip fitter...

Ran verry well, but beaten by one given an excellent ride from the front by Saffie Osborne.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Have only backed the one today - 5.20 Newbury Mythical Composer , 7/2 best now and a tad lower generally...... looks a less demanding race than some of his earlier contests, and should be suited to this trip on the flatter track. Will be disappointed if he doesn't run close today.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

It's not very often you see Joseph O'Brien sending something over to Lingfield on a Monday afternoon, and you'd imagine his runner in the 3.53 Teewinot will prove hard to beat - given that she is around 2/7. The places look up for grabs however, and one that I can see running better than the...

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Away from alll the main action today I have had a small EW on Emerald Countess @100/1 in the 11.50 Vaal ( SA ) , may well run better than the odds suggest. Fingers crossed for a place.

The 2025 Glorious Goodwood Day 1 (Tuesday) thread

Like yourself I thought Scandinavia looked the perfect type for the Leger after Newmarket - the 10's 8's 7's and 6's immediately after the race looked far too big, I couldn't believe Lambourn was as short as he was - all being well he'll go for the Arc, just can't see him running at Doncaster.

The 2025 Glorious Goodwood Day 1 (Tuesday) thread

Near miss, with winner of Leg 1 , winner Leg 2 - but only managing the 3rd place in Leg 3 missing out on the consolation dividend of £234.50 - typical of my luck at the moment.
