Lord Ben a NR. Had a small bet Night Alliance who's won on heavy and over further in the not overly distant past.

Top two look beatable to me with PDP surely better on a sounder surface and SW has his well being to prove. I've backed Lord Ben who I thought ran well over a trip that probably stretches his stamina last time out at Taunton. Martin

I could be wrong but is it the 12yo that debuted last year?

Interesting race at Warwick later - sadly for various reasons, most notable amongst them the presence of some useful ex-Rules horses it could be a race worth keeping stakes to a minimum on. Temple Grandin is now about the right price and with some jumping issues in the past is probably not the...

Think he's qualified already in terms of how you qualify to run but it then boils down to OR marks which is where it's completely flawed. At the moment his participation would be in the hands of the handicapper.

I backed him the other day at a decent enough price and a good judge on Twitter has put him up too. I'd imagine he'll go to Larkhill for the Coronation Gold Cup and then go Hunter Chasing. He's unbeaten bar finishing runner-up on his debut IIRC so would have to go there with a good chance if...

Sorry Benny was out at Ampton P2P yesterday, impressive win for Tailspin in the Open Maiden & Alice Stevens continues to impress in the saddle. Martin

I made Real Milan (20/1) now & Lilbitluso (9/1) joint favs @ 4's for tomorrow's race. Prices are going but that's the jist of it.

Very hot race, waiting for prices but the newspaper/online tissues I've seen have been miles out.

No news here but he should be eligible - not sure exactly what he's beaten thus far this season but he's qualified and will stay the trip and he'd have a better chance most who line up on the day. Martin

    TV coverage

That's great but has to be given context - if the books who are 1/4 are a point or so under the books offering 1/5 then a lot of the time they'll be offering the worst of the value. This needs to be highlighted also. Martin

The fancy prices have gone but Galros Lady at 5/1 still looks to be on the big side in the opener at Hereford tomorrow. Won as she liked on her return to handicaps on g/f at Lingfield over fences in November and was found out by the fences/soft ground combo at Fontwell NTO. She still looks to...

I didn't think that race the other day was that great tbh and there's a couple of other front-running types in here, whether they have the pace to see him off is debatable but every chance he could go quicker than he likes to. Would be keener on giving Galros Lady another chance in the opener...

Sadly I wasn't DO but he's an ex-P2P jockey only a young lad who used to ride for Tom Lacey when Lacey was producing p2pers to sell on, think he also had some run in his name for a bit too. Should do well under Rules, particularly with horses that appear to have gone sour. Martin

    TV coverage

Ed is a top presenter and does the job well No idea what Fitzgerald brings but then that's always been the case. Chapman brings character. Pendleton is great - the show needs a household name and somebody the public can relate to. Not sure why they need a weather presenter on the afternoon show.
