Don't know if it's been mentioned anywhere else but the lad Kitts has been banned for nine years. https://www.racingpost.com/news/britain/part-owner-john-higgins-and-jockey-dylan-kitts-banned-for-12-and-nine-years-as-long-running-hillsin-investigation-is-concluded-arI4w9Q5Zbfd/ I have no...

    John Durkan - 3pm Sun 23 November

I've watched the whole race again and this is my take: For all that it was a large enough field of G1 horses with high ratings only the first two were trying. The others were preparing for other targets. Fastorslow - best form over three miles. Heart Wood - four of his five best runs are over...

Medical team in Fort Worth, Texas assist in medical miracle.

Full disclosure, though, I am a religious person and believe in God, Heaven, etc, etc, and I do believe that people will have had experiences not unlike those described. My own mother with her dying words was able tell us that she could see her deceased brothers and sisters and that they were...

I used to get fed this kind of shite on Facebook. It's all fake. I've seen more believable fake jobbies in Tam Shepherd's joke shop in Glasgow.

    John Durkan - 3pm Sun 23 November

Indeed. There are races every day when two horses are ding-dong all the way from the last or second last. Does it only qualify as a race for the ages when it involves Grade 1ers?

    John Durkan - 3pm Sun 23 November

Racing Post headline: John Durkan: Gallant Gaelic Warrior holds off fast-finishing stablemate Fact To File to edge a race for the ages Did whoever wrote actually watch the race? Sure, FTF came from some way behind GW but it got level (at least) and wasn't going any faster than GW from the last.

    Racing Books

When I downsized three years ago nobody wanted any of my 40-odd years' worth of form books, form annuals and Superform books and annuals. Plus about 10 years' worth of form, Flat and NH, Weekender pullout compilations. They ended up going to the paper dumpster at the local recycling centre...

The 2025 Hurst Park Handicap Chase

If it a) needs to be held up, and/or b) needs to see its fences then it's maybe wasting its time in big handicaps unless it learns to front-run. Running wide from the back in soft ground is a huge ask.

    Todays Racing -----England--Ireland

That Top Of The Bill struck me as a potential Grand National contender there. Bound to go up to about 145 and they might want it to go up another couple just to be safe but it fair jumped that field silly.

The 2025 Hurst Park Handicap Chase

After it won at Cheltenham Skelton went on at length about how that was the horse's long-term target so I reckoned today was about starting to get its mark back down a bit. I backed Martator and was disappointed with the ride it got. Maybe it needs to see the fences but did it really need to be...

The 2025 Should Be Odds-On Thread

Managed to tune in for the last mile and for most of it was thinking the market was right, that she was either hating the ground or not trying but I think the jockey was just showing off and made it look much more difficult than it needed to be.

    The 2025 Stayers' Handicap Hurdle

What is the phrase? Fvck my luck? I narrow it down to six and back two, one a total non-trier and the other very badly ridden, and the others finish first, third, fourth and fifth. Losses are exacerbated by backers of Hartington not collecting. Gutted for you. I honestly thought wherever...

    Todays Racing -----England--Ireland

I might as well also add that I took 33/1 Pic Roc earlier this afternoon for the Hennessy next week. Pauling had three entered, The Jukebox Man, Handstands and Pic Roc but he sent them for the good races today and keeps PR back for Newbury so I presume they reckon his mark is 'workable'.

I hope so. I took 16/1 for it a couple of weeks ago.

I'm just hyper-sensitive when I step outside of my close circles. Can't help it and not sure I want to.

    The 2025 Stayers' Handicap Hurdle

Well we don't hold back when it's family and close friends but it isn't always appropriate to take that kind of 'banter' into other scenarios.

    The 2025 Stayers' Handicap Hurdle

I'm just being consistent. I've said down the years that a forum should be no different to a bunch of people sitting in a room. By all means share opinions, agree, disagree, agree to disagree, and some will be more vocal than others but when someone starts insulting others that would my cue...

If the intention is to piss those people off to the point that they can't be arsed to contribute to the forum any more then it's working a treat.
