    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

I think the price is more a reflection of the lack of strength in the British novices in comparison to the Irish. FWIW I will be backing Joyeuse in the Mares Hurdle as I think its been a slow burner and its starting to come to the boil now, and I dont think Lossiemouth should be odds on.

William Munny? Second to Workahead and then second to Kawaboomga, 7 lengths to make up on Workahead but hardly jumped a hurdle that day, too many mistakes against Kawaboomga when beaten under 3 lengths but his jumping was much more professional last time which makes me think he can at least get...

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

Salvato Mundi is probably on the slide as the Mullins team definitely prefer Kopek. William Munny's chances were talked about by Barry O'Connell this morning on the Nick Luck show and he definitely thinks its in with a chance in the race, and he knows what it takes to win a Supreme.

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

If the same Kopek that won a few weeks ago turns up it wins, but only if its jumping takes another step forward imho. I backed Marine Nationale when it won the Supreme from the unbeatable Facile Vega, and I will have a few quid on William Munny as on a strict form line through Kawaboomga it...

    I'm in, thank you.

    Champion Bumper 2025

Saw that this morning and not surprisingly Copacabana is the fav for the race, but I suppose a lot depends on when the interview was done and how much is a "small bet" in the JP world..... Will be interesting to see what Patrick picks in the bumper and obviously a lot can change between now and...

    Champion Bumper 2025

Didn't see a thread for this race and wondered what everyone's thoughts are on the potential winner. Its always been one of my favourite races of the Festival ever since I managed to fall onto Joe Cullen back in 2000. I have had more winners than losers in the race over the years including some...

    The Triumph Hurdle

Any thoughts on Pallidium's chances? I know he was extremely unimpressive first time out, but he still won and he is surely the class horse in the race.

    How Often Do You Bet?

I enjoy my L15's on a Saturday, a few quid each way on the big handicap of the day and a dabble on a Sunday. The only time I would bet during the week would be at the festivals or bigger meetings like Chester, York, Newmarket etc. Pre Covid I would have gone into the bookies each evening after...

    Champion Hurdle Road ToThread 24/25

If they run it in the Mares its more or less a walkover and will be redemption for last year, I would have thought the O'Leary's are more interested in winning a race at the Festival than potentially being a gallant runner up to a revitalised Constitution Hill. And why not pick up the Mares on...

    Michael O'Sullivan

Awful news to wake up to, heartfelt sympathies to all that knew him. It shows how fragile life is and also how brave the jockeys we sometimes curse really are.

Road to the 2025 Champion Hurdle

I got into racing just towards the tailend of See You Then's career and thought he was a classy hurdler, enjoyed Istabraaq ousing class up the hill and Constitution Hill is miles ahead of both in my opinion. Would have loved to have seen what Our Conor would have done as a 5 year old onwards as...

    Some excellent work…

Obviously I must be a racist having used the word many years ago purely to refer to the food. It's a pity some people tend to be offended, and become even more offended with every passing moment instead of letting the matter drop and moving on. Just as well it was only certain types I was racist...

    Some excellent work…

I would definitely say its an age thing, myself growing up in Belfast in the 70's and 80's would have always used that word without thinking of any racist connotations, but its not a word I would use now as I most likely grew out of it and cant remember the last time I did use it. If I go for...

    Trump vs Harris

Its in the American psychology to believe in conspiracy, and they have dragged millions along with them. Sandy Hook? Sure that was just a load of crisis actors and the idiots who peddled that nonsense made many, many millions from it. We also have our own nutters over here, Richard Hall for...

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

The horses, and race, I am looking forward to most of all is the Arkle clash between Sir Gino ad Majborough. I hope they both get there in top form because if they do it will be a race to savour. I am also looking forward to Brighterdaysahead heading off in front in the Champion Hurdle with...

    Dublin Racing Festival, DRF

I had a look at Amen Kate in the last, form looks solid and if it wins today it will be close to the top of the betting in the Bumper @ Cheltenham, had a few quid ew at 11's with Bet365 NRNB.
