    Russell Brand

I can't stand him and wonder why any woman would feel flattered by his attention, but he's not been found guilty of anything so should be able to continue with his life as if no one had said a word. It's trial by media and it's grossly unfair. He's in a different 'league' to Saville in terms...

    What are you watching

I only missed last 20 minutes or so - I would recommend watching the rest. Clift made only 2 more films..although same year was in The Misfits infamous for allegedly finishing off Gable.

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

He's still training -think the 'giving up' turned into a holiday. Edward Cornelius showing as still with him. Gelded 18th July reported so maybe taking time to get over it?

    What are you watching

Yes had alcohol issues , died 1967 , 17 days after finishing filmng Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? They even lied about who found him as his relationship with Hepburn still a 'secret' to the wider world then.

    What are you watching

Judgement at Nuremberg was a film on BBC4 last night. Sadly I did my usual trick of falling alseep towards the end, and then not sleeping all night - but fabulous cast would make me watch it on iplayer which I actually don't like doing. Spencer Tracy, Burt Lancaster - you have to look twice...

    Breeding and Bloodstock Sales

That would be really good to be there in person to see that. Marsha was really fun to watch in person as was the Giant's Causeway x Urban Sea foal at Tatts.

    Betfair Sprint Cup

Maybe they need to just him come out slowly and not hit the front from the break? Great that they have tried but clearly didn't work today. He was, as shown, very upset just before the stalls opened. I wasn't paying that much attention to the loading, did he go in late/last?

    Irish Champions Weekend 2023

So does Frankie, and stallion rights too. I've heard the California rumour as well. I can't see Dettori quitting, his ego would miss it too much.

    Irish Champions Weekend 2023

Oh Hollie, Hollie, Hollie....did it again! Far too far back and gave the mare way too much to do. Maybe thought the pace was quick but she could have been handier.

Would love to know the process of how entering something out there came about...

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Starlore today at Sandown got, imho, a very hard ride from Ryan Moore, who on walking into the winning enclosure, as Starlore let everyone know he was coming, told him to go forth and multiply. I would think it was greenness and unlike Ryan so maybe first time experience got to him and more to...

    What are you watching

One of the narratives read was by a German lady, who with her friends was trying to shelter from the bombardment but were found by the Russians, and she said, paraphrasing, 'they raped Frau xxxx , then all of us, including Inge ,who was 8'. One of perhaps the most amazing facts to come out of...

    What are you watching

Berlin:1945 BBC4. Told through recorded words of people who were there on all sides. Very harrowing at times, especially after the Russians arrived although the Germans were atrocious to their own citizens at the end, or rather the Nazi fanatics were.

    European Cities

You can do Herculaneum/Vesuvias in a day, Herculaneum not very big but worth it. Pick up the tour booklet at the entrance as very informative and plots your way round. For Vesuvias they take you up so far in a coach and then you walk the rest, it's about 1100 metres from the drop off and a...
