Agree with all of that. This is though the performance game. Frankel was in a different league. STS was a sight in his last run in the Arc, he was however dealing with Youmzain ( who I loved btw). Frankel was having to deal with the beast Cirrus on his favoured ground.

Not sure having him eyes out over 2 miles is a smart move if they see him as a Gold Cup horse. He's already a fairly keen sort and a doubtful stayer, not sure this is ideal. Clearly if he bolts up then they have a decision to make! He'll end up back in the Ryanair anyway!

I agree about the market. LDS is a strong traveller but looked a place lay. The one that looked could go with Majborough the longest but pay the price. Skelton had no choice here however. He's approached knowing he would have to commit as Majborough would have. He's already half committed when...
