    Elixir D'ainay

I see Elixir D'ainay is entered at Punchestown on Tuesday, some 1362 days after falling when looking the most likely danger to Shishkin in the 2020 Supreme. You can't fault JP and Willie for their patience.

    Betfair Ascot Chase

I'm surprised that Fakir D'oudairies is as much as 9/4 for this, I think that he's a different class to the rest of these. I know that Saint Calvados and Fanion D'Estruval are rated within two pounds of him on official ratings but I think that these are examples of the BHA handicapper's ratings...

    Tim Vaughan

Delighted to see Tim Vaughan get a decent win in a Saturday race. That's just his eighth winner of the season. Ten years ago he trained 102 winners in a season.

    Kinloch Brae Thurles

I see that Allaho has been entered on Sunday at Thurles for the race he won last season. Given that all the chat has been that he is going straight to Cheltenham, I wonder whether there is any chance of him running. (3:15) 16E Horse & Jockey Hotel S'chase (Grade2) €21,535.00 ( 2m 4f 48y - 6yo+...

Gordon Elliott nine in a row.

Gordon Elliott won the last seven at Navan yesterday and the first at both Cork and Punchestown today. I'd imagine no one has ever won nine sucessive races in Ireland before.

A very interesting podcast this week with Dan Kelly and Jason Hathorn. Jason has analysed the effects of moving stable on 6000 horses with some interesting results. It's well worth a view.

    Bumpers

I was very impressed with Tycoon Prince, yesterday's bumper winner at Fairyhouse.A half brother to Zuska and Puffin Billy, the Gigginstown/Elliott gelding quickened away from a good horse of Mullins in nice style. He is expected to go hurdling now.

Victory in the King George VI Chase gave the Paul Nicholls-trained stayer, who later went on to land Aintree's Betfred Bowl, an official rating of...

    Katenko

A much better showing today, got squeezed for room at the last and was only beaten a couple of lenghts giving a lot of weight away. He showed such promise last season, I hope he is on the way back.

    Diamond Harry

Who would have thought that three years after his Hennessy win, he would be running at Catterick, not having won in the meantime.
