Looks like a nice prep for the Arc.

    Irish Champion Stakes Day

Soft at the Curragh and due to dry this week in advance of the Moyglare on Sunday. No doubt Hensey is considering watering! Seriously, if either they or Leopardstown mention the W word, I will cry.

    Johnny Murtagh/Aga Khan

That's the English Leger. He was referring to the Irish version

    Famous Name

No, it was at Leop and he was still fav at 11-8. The race you're thinking of, Famous Name was 4-5 and beat Jan Vermeer who was fancied to beat him and returned 5-4.

    Famous Name

He's been fav in all, odds on in 13 of those and the biggest price in his 17 stakes wins was 11-8.

Slight doubt over Imperial Monarch due to a pulse in his foot.

    Irish Derby

Ishvana surely? I read that Parish Hall won't make it, but I suppose you can't be 100% with Jim. Light Heavy will run for him though. The ground is soft and with a forecast of a few dry days followed by rain it probably won't change much. Would they run Camelot if it turned heavy? Imperial...

    2012 2-y-o season

It'll be interesting to see him against the likes of Liberating and Infanta Branca on Saturday.

    Irish Guineas Weekend

It wouldn't surprise. I recall Tomahawk going off favourite in this. I'd expect Power to run much better than at Newmarket, but I still prefer Trumpet Major and particularly the Daddy (how he's almost twice the price if Wrote is a mystery).

    Irish Guineas Weekend

If you're going to restrict yourself to Coventry form then Trumpet Major has no chance. Which is obviously not true.

    Irish Guineas Weekend

The same Dragon Pulse that beat Parish Hall in the Futurity. Furners Green was also in behind in the National and ran a cracker in the French Guineas. Most of this lot tie in somewhere.

    Irish Guineas Weekend

If you fancy Parish Hall so strongly then I don't see how you can dismiss Power so readily. His National Stakes form is also decent.

    Irish Guineas Weekend

Being by High Chaparral you'd think he'd want further yet I thought he didn't see out his race at Meydan and that was 1m1. In the Derrinstown, he never looked likely. I'd be very disappointed if he finished in front of DLL. The obvious concern with the latter named is the possible effects of all...
