Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2011

Excellent. I've been trying to see what time the Arc is due off at, but haven't been able to find it. My French isn't great, but I don't see any time. I'm hoping it's similar to last year. Many thanks for your help and I won't clog up the thread any longer.

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2011

Yes, a one dayer but from Belfast would be easier. I've looked at flights. I just was wondering how long you'd need to leave to make it to and from the airport in a relaxed manner! Probably looking at going over on Saturday and back on Sunday but I'd hate to have a stressful will we/won't we...

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2011

I may have dreamt it, but was there a thread here about going to the Arc? I can't find it. In the absence of a thread, can anyone offer any advice as I'm thinking of going. How much time would one need to leave on either side of the races? That's to say, is this doable in one day or is that too...

Ballydoyle Horses 2011 Discussion and Comp

The third and fourth, both Ballydoyle horses, have been beaten since too. Fort Sam Houston (beaten 6l by Camelot) was 2nd at Killarney, beaten 3/4l by a Jessie newcomer. Canary Wharf (beaten just over 6l by Camelot) was beaten just a bit more by stablemate Requisition at Galway yesterday.

    Irish Champion Stakes

Murtagh outridden by Kinane and Soumillon outridden by Murtagh, you mean. Shawanda won the Oaks about 5 (?) years ago. Oh and for anyone going, the best deal is probably with the Tote go racing club. 10 euros in and a free racecard plus they'll add 5 euros to your tote account.

    Irish Champion Stakes

They've got lucky with Snow Fairy. But for the feck up in France she might not have run either. Would Godolphin send one of their entries over?

Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2011

He's due to run at the Curragh on 20 August in the Listed 'Irish Leger Trial' over 1m 6. Would he not go for the Irish Leger after that? Early September. And then back for the Arc?????

    The 2011 2-y-o thread.

Where did you read/hear that? This race has been a graveyard for Coventry winners with plenty stuffed (often by horses that were behind them at Ascot or who didn't appear to have the form in the book). The interesting point is that they're usually British trained horses turned over by a...

There is a photo of winning connections on the Leopardstown facebook page. I'm guessing OTB is the one on the left!

    Derby weekend at the Curragh

It's bound to be on the yielding/soft side of good. They won't want to say that for fear of putting off some of the travelling runners. Did you hear Dunlop's head lad on ATR, 'the Curragh is a quick drying track'. Arf! Pull the other one Mr Hensey.

Carlton House entered up, but no Recital.

    Irish Flat Season 2011

The Pretty Polly at the Curragh on Derby weekend is shaping up to be very tasty indeed. Snow Fairy and Midday both reported on target. Add in, possibly, the likes of Misty for Me to see how the 3YOs get on and it should be a very good race.
