Just trawling the internet and found he's now just outside Cardiff, but looks lovely & rural: https://www.samthomasracing.com/facilities Also came across this on ATR regarding Good Risk At All & hopefully he’s overlooked for next year as well… “He is a classy individual and we have loved him...

I agree with nearly all that’s been said, though haven’t been lucky enough to meet him like Eddie :D The very obvious one of his this year, that doesn’t seem to be getting much love or hype, is Good Risk At All. He won the Newbury bumper on Betfair Hurdle day which historically churns our very...

What ground do we reckon the festival will start on? I've been working on Good to Soft for a while, but this week’s forecast rain is making me re-think. Anyone got a meteorological crystal ball??

    The thoughts of the handicappers.

It's been a while.... Goshen back with a bang Goshen’s wide-margin success in the Kingwell Hurdle was one of two notable performances in the 2m hurdle division on Saturday, writes Andrew Mealor… It would be fair to say that things hadn’t exactly gone to plan for Goshen hitherto in his...

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

I’m replying without reading all the other replies first so as not to be influenced, but the way I reconcile is: 1. they’re bred for it so wouldn’t be alive without racing 2. are treated like kings (largely) 3. are loved and cared for by the stable staff 4. most importantly for me, especially...

I think One Man was the death that hit me hardest as well moe. I was actually running a betting shop at the time in a rough old part of West London (Southall area) and actually had a tear my eye, but had to put up with some of the locals abuse!

    Dublin Racing Festival

Gutted not to be there, particularly for Kemboy Sunday, but no complaints as it could be so so much worse. Absolutely agree with Grassy this weekend is the best there is outside of the 4 days in the Cotswolds and include Punchestown in that. Amazing to think how successful it’s become in a short...

    What are you backing Today?

14.05 Donc Truckers Pass. Top notch NHF form and would have gone very close to beating the now 136 rated Do Your Job on his first go over hurdles if he'd not veered left after the last Hobbs stable form tempers a little, so is scaled back from a 5* slam-dunk to 3* investment
