    Arse Cup

Ach, how can ye slate John Hunt, Kri??? He's one of the country's best commentators IMO, along with Barty, Hoiles, Darren Owen & Holt.

    Is Sir Bloody Bloody?

Ah, right. But you thought it was worth flagging up anyway as "classic Prescott".

    Seven Pound Claimers......

Mr M T Stanley (7) rode his first winner under rules today at Towcester. Matt gave it a superb ride and will ride plenty more winners.

    Is Sir Bloody Bloody?

Well, it was bit of a daft example for a massive crooked coup, wasn't it?? What trip was he supposed to give them 3 runs in at 2??? A step up to 1m4f for a 3yo first time up having run 3 times at a mile at 2 is a natural progression, not bent. If you don't want patronising, don't post stupid...

Do you know why I've pulled you over?

    Morocco

Not for me. Know of too many people ended up in hospital having gone out there, and only ever not disliked one Moroccan and she was my cleaner. Before ye all pile in with the boot, I lived 12m from Morocco for over 4 years so have quite a bit of experience in that department. Oh and I have it...

    So sorry about Camira, Art.

    Is Sir Bloody Bloody?

You know how many two year old races are run over further than mile, Bar?

I know - and it's truly a horrible animal as well!!!

    Forum horse connections

If he's looking in - which I'm sure he is - I'm sure Lord Hartigan would be dead chuffed to see that it hadn't escaped everyone on the forum that his Night Frolic is now the dam of a Musidora winner......if it's any consolation it's a horrible beast, ugly with a big head that it carries high and...

    Unexposed types to watch.

Shropshire runs tomorrow at York; a three year old Shamardal colt trained by Barry Hills. I really liked him going to post at Newbury for the Greenham and he ran well, coming third to Frankel.

Happens all the bloody time - or at least it did, in my day! There was nothing that made you want to rip someone's head off more than some prick by the paddock clicking on a horse that was pulling your arms out and you were trying to settle down. What these clowns don't realise is that you're...

    Richard Johnson

He's been in the habit of doing do for years, Kri. I'm sure watching him is where Sam Thomas picked up the idea a few years ago! It drives me mad, for all the reasons you put.

    Goodwood stewards asleep on job

It was a very poor ride and I said at the time to colleagues that I'd be very surprised if the stewards didn't haul him in for that, deserved the book throwing at him to be honest.

    Jocks in trouble..........

Nah, he's a fat bastard so far as cheese nibblers go, often puts up overweight. I think 8st10lbs is about his limit, he's tall for a nibbler.

    Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson's luck seems to have improved of late - he's not decking as many as he used to. He still wants to be getting a hold of their head over obstacles though rather than leaving his bloody reins dangling everywhere like washing lines. It makes me cringe - or yell in frustration -...

    Unexposed types to watch.

Yair Hill looked as though he'd come on for the run but I can see where you're coming from. He's a big stuffy-looking horse so should improve. Whiplash Willie is small but he's tough and should improve for being 3 and the step up in trip. Phoenix Reach doesn't really do 2 year olds and I...

    Retirements & Departures 2011

To add insult to injury - or maybe the other way around - he smashed up his collarbone at the same time Kri so is feeling doubly crap.

    Retirements & Departures 2011

His biggest sin was that he had become too consistent and was always in the grip of the handicapper. My friend was on him when he went; he'd been riding him since he was 2 and loved him more than he loved his own horse. He's gutted. It looks like he had a heart attack.
