    Or me.

    Unedifying sight ?

I can see where you're coming from but can't see that it does conflict with the rule about riding horses to achieve the best possible position - 'dead, collapsed after last fence' isn't the greatest position ever!

    Round The Horn

That just about proves my point for me, G-G. If he's that good a horse, why does he need that ground?!? If he can't run away from Towcester on unraceable ground he can't be the best horse he's ever trained, can he?!?! Don't you worry Irish Stamp, you're allowed an opinion, just unfortunate...

    Forum horse connections

I'm not knocking your fella Grey, just saying how deeply impressive Ericht was. On all I've seen so far this season I was most impressed by him, even more so than Knight Pass. The way he accelerated on that ground - and away from two useful animals - was a 'wow' moment.

Sorry to say it but Ericht of Henderson's is some beast, Grey. In fact the first three home in that Newbury bumper look very useful animals, Bygones in Brid and Peckhamecho filling the places. I'm still amazed at the acceleration produced by Ericht on very tiring and cut up ground.

    The McManus Operation?

From what I've heard McManus is very loyal which is why he often perseveres with even the yokes. He campaigns a lot of them in hunter chases, he seems very keen on that field which I think is a good thing even if many in the pointing world don't. His horses often get beaten in hunter chases...

    Unedifying sight ?

I said at the time that they were possibly in for a banning - even if they did win and come second and third, respectively. If a horse is tiring to the point of exhaustion it is in the rules that they must pull up and jockeys do get banned for continuing on horses that can barely clamber over...

It's a disease Colin, just spelt Binolcuar and Khbyber Kim wrong on another thread asl wekl - msut check spekling mrre ofte, Funnily enough, same as, Bar. He's the first Triumph horse to interest me as well this season. Nice big powerful animal and looks versatile.

It's between Binocular, Menorah and Khyber Kim for me; preference for the latter two as Binocular appears to be getting a bit cute at times nowadays.

    Round The Horn

Another 'thought' on the man as a trainer - if he really thinks this is the best horse he's ever had, why in the name of God would he want to rip its guts out running it at Towcester (of all places) on barely raceable ground? The mind boggles.

I was also very impressed with Zarkander, nice horse.

    Road To The Champion Hurdle

Oh, and even though on wrong thread it's related to my previous post - I can't have that Imperial Commander was 'back to his best'. I thought he was most unimpressive and he made heavy weather of it; although finishing upsides Sybarite was clearly going the better with Paddy riding Imperial...

Khyber Kim looked very well and was very impressive in his piece of work today at Kempton with Astracad, who he kicked into another county whilst still pulling double. They went a decent clip as well, the horse is a massive price at 25/1, he's got to be an each way bet to nothing.
