    Aintree (other races)

I agreed with Barjon, who mentioned his jumping. Also agreed with the rest of it. He was always going to be held on to over this trip given his last trip to Aintree. He was moving plenty easily enough to pick her up when he fell. Townend made his move rightly so. It was though plenty early...

    Aintree (other races)

Correct. Some of the stuff I have heard and read has tickled me pink. He looked to have plenty of running left which Nico confirmed.

    The 2025 Grand National

Have Intense Raffles winning. Visions of Iroko and Minella Cocooner chasing him home. Have a nice enough price on Minella Cocooner.

Perceval is certainly a fascinating runner. Was it not just over 3m at Leopardstown where he won though?

Think we have to throw Mullins in the mix aswell. Has a few with lively chances.

    The 2025 Grand National

So who do you have filling the tricast? :p

    The 2025 Grand National

He actually worked his way back up to be sat just off the leaders. It's when they kicked on 3 out that he lost a lot of ground. He ploughed on past some treading treacle but not sure he was that unlucky. Clearly his wrong early move didn't help, but did it cause his loss of ground from 3 out...

Always bullish me! That said, I did love the run of Iroko behind Grey Dawning. Cracking prep run that.

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Real shame this. Fairy Godmother retired to stud after aggravating an injury.

    Intense Raffles just wins!

The commentary was sublime. "This perfect mix of poetry and destruction".

Agree with all of that. This is though the performance game. Frankel was in a different league. STS was a sight in his last run in the Arc, he was however dealing with Youmzain ( who I loved btw). Frankel was having to deal with the beast Cirrus on his favoured ground.

    Agreed.

There is no exact science in breeding as you know. Plenty have not got the trip also. I do think he would probably have got it as a 4yr old. Imagine though, if the Derby was the plan, you would not have seen his jaw dropping Guineas performance. You also would not have seen his Queen Anne...

Just aswell he rocked up a bit later then! I can still see the face of Cecil in the last half furlong of the SJP.

    The Two Mile Chasers

Not sure having him eyes out over 2 miles is a smart move if they see him as a Gold Cup horse. He's already a fairly keen sort and a doubtful stayer, not sure this is ideal. Clearly if he bolts up then they have a decision to make! He'll end up back in the Ryanair anyway!

    The Two Mile Chasers

You think that's a smart move if they intend on going Gold Cup next season?

    The Two Mile Chasers

Decided he's not a Gold Cup horse for next season then?
