Just to say i played golf about 300 metres from the canal turn yesterday, and although i always advocate that Aintree has great drainage, it was a complete bog still yesterday. Will have to stay sunny and dry all week for the ground to absorb that.

I emailed SL this morning to ask how old the guy designing the 'new' site was. It is less than half complete. Why on earth would you roll something out which is nowhere near finished? This doesn't bode well.

DO, any view on Caroles Destrier? I singled it out after the good second at 33/1 to Native Run in November. Have backed this horse a few times over the last 2 or 3 seasons. Sound jumper, generally races close to the pace which is always a bonus in the National. Weight looks pretty good to me...

Was pretty much my point Ardross. I thought he should have been pulled up the way he had gone out like a light when the pressure was applied. Something was clearly amiss.
