    2025 County (Handicap) Hurdle

Apt that Danny Mullins is riding Absurde after the ride he gave Jungle Boogie. Hope he rides this one more like he did Jimmy du Seuil.

    Cheltenham Problems

I haven’t seen any cocaine fuelled violence this year . They probably need more than one dog sniffing it out - I have only spotted one this year.

    Stayers Hurdle

Yes didn’t they find some injury in his back when looking for something else . They were pretty sure he was carrying the injury when he ran against GDC.

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

I think there is nil evidence for this . The HDB team were flying in the autumn and then had a terrible run of form in Jan/Feb- far worse than in previous years . HDB primes his horses for Cheltenham quite often they then do not do as well at Punchestown - this year they were running as if they...

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

I don’t think it was a slow stayers hurdle ? Bob just had too much speed and class on that ground at his favourite track . He’s a legend . Let’s not forget they found he ran against GDC in the Turners already carrying an injury . He appeared gone at the game even over hurdles then they found...

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

The stories don’t stop at this Festival first HDB and RB after a torrid season and now Nicholls/Cobden magic up a massively improved effort from Caldwell Potter .

    2025 Coral Cup (Handicap Hurdle)

I was briefly getting very excited by my Impose Toi and Ballyadam exacta ! How could anyone have thought the latter had improved 4lb at his age for beating Saint Sam ( who is miles better chasing ) on New Year's Day - 4lb that just about cost him the race.

    2025 County (Handicap) Hurdle

Only 16 runners is disappointing ( perhaps the novice number of runs rule playing a part ) but not the first big 2 mile handicap hurdle with a smallish field this year . Kargese looks very well in but Absurde is not to be discounted IMO.

    Official Riding Arrangements?

There have always been some owners that prefer O'Keeffe - he has always ridden Gorgeous Tom and it seems he has won a few others over whilst RB was injured. Notable that Willie has put RB on his second most fancied horse in the Albert Bartlett whilst DOK retains the ride on The Big Westerner . I...

2025 Jack Richards Novices' Limited Handicap Chase

I like Springwell Bay even with his weight - he looked well suited by a big field in Jan rather than small novice condition chase fields.

2025 Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle

Haven't backed the winner since Fingal's Bay - might steer clear .

    The Novice Hurdlers

I am struggling to see why she is rated 141 when last time out she beat a horse rated 120 by one and three quarter lengths ? I like Jubilee Alpha a lot but not sure as ever how her form stacks up against the Irish contingent.

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

Also I hope the fact that the racing has been so exciting and unpredictable this year will make those staying away remember what they are missing but to do that Cheltenham must improve the on course experience - though there seems to have been less of the awful pre-race" entertainment " they...

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

Still too much loud music though better than last year's horror Too much Aly Vance she is really vacuous as a presenter and interviewer they can save a few quid by sticking to martin Kelly and Hayley Moore- and she is often too slow in getting the crowd to clap the winner walking back Food and...
