    Nicholls Visit Thursday 20th

Well what an utterly incredible day! Firstly we (myself and two friends) were treated to breakfast at a local pub (2 full English, 1 eggs benedict) then to the yard for second and third lot. No Paul as he was off shooting in Yorkshire but we were greeted by one of his assistants, Charlie and...

    Amateur Jockey Races Thread

I was at Wincanton today and backed it on the Tote which paid about 20s I think - nice little earner as I was standing in Mr Nicholls private box. I reasoned that Rian (who I know well from Pointing) is head and shoulders above the others in a hands and heels race and Kayley Woollacott wasn't...

    Nicholls Visit Thursday 20th

Hi All I am going to Mr Nicholl's yard tomorrow for a breakfast/morning on the gallops/day at Wincanton freezin' my tits off day and was wondering if anyone wanted me to ask about any horses while I am there? I have already been advised by the ex to "take a notebook with you" and record...

    New Point To Point Forum

I'd just like to add that this is an incredible thing that Gordon does. Initially it was to boost the profile of the late Jumping for Fun forum but even with the demise of that, it has gone from strength to strength and I know the Pointing community are very grateful for this initiative. I was...

The 2025 Paddy Power Gold Cup (Handicap Chase)

As someone said to me on Sunday about the yard "every time he has a winner, a puppy dies!" I think it was rather lost in translation as nobody else laughed but I thought it was hilarious at the time.

The 2025 Paddy Power Gold Cup (Handicap Chase)

And you STILL didn't listen to me as we stood by the paddock and I said I was backing Panic Attack. In fact you even said something along the lines of "well of course you are a complete genius so perhaps I should be backing it considering your vast knowledge....." :ROFLMAO: :cheerleader:

Novice & Maiden Hurdlers 2025-2026 - Who Might Step Up?

I listened to the interview with Dan afterwards and he said he would stick to 2m as he was keen in his bumper too.

Novice & Maiden Hurdlers 2025-2026 - Who Might Step Up?

You need to put Soldier Reeves in your Maidens to follow list. That performance on Sunday was underplayed IMO. It was his first time over hurdles, he made a mistake at the third last that he was given time to recover from and he still won nicely. I thought it was a very good run.

Canadian from Ontario found your forum because I did a search for....

Things have changed a lot in that time, not least that several of those on the thread do not frequent this place any more plus the wonderful Brian H aka Lord H has sadly passed into the next life. This is essentially a horse racing forum and I doubt you are going to get a hugely positive...

THAT was impressive by Kopek des Bordes. Happy in front, I thought "I wonder how much he will have left?" The others came to him and he just shook them off - very, very nice.

Just watched this - The Yellow Clay hated that ground. Watch it back and he's nodding every other stride which indicates he ain't happy.
