    Champion Hurdle Road ToThread 24/25

It seems Ricci is keener on Lossie going to the Mares race https://www.racingpost.com/news/festivals/cheltenham-festival/lossiemouth-shortens-for-mares-hurdle-after-owner-rich-ricci-floats-possibility-of-her-switching-from-the-champion-aQGaH1I9QSk8/

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

Not the greatest news for those who’ve backed him for the Nash but potentially good for your bet Alex https://www.racingpost.com/news/festivals/cheltenham-festival/inothewayurthinkin-set-to-be-parachuted-into-gold-cup-equation-at-supplementary-stage-this-weekend-aYCos6x1Bx4h/

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

Interesting this one turns out again after a mediocre run last weekend. It looked to me like he got a gentle enough ride at Newbury (although far enough off the front two that the cameras were off him from the last). Surely Mr Nicholls wouldn’t have been schooling in public? Because that’s not...

    2025 Imperial Cup (Handicap Hurdle)

I backed Spirits Bay at 12s this morning when I saw he’d been declared on the BHA live Decs tracking website still AP though so no money back if he’s a late non-runner. He’ll pick up a stone bruise now no doubt

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Bet365 doing a 25% winnings bonus on the 16.02 Leopardstown. Tyre Kicker for me in this race with his run at Windsor looking decent form behind Hasthing who ran well in a G3 next time. 1lb wrong but hopefully negated by the jockey’s claim. 6/1 looks a decent price

    Aftertiming thread

Great to see good old Sam Brown bolting up at Newbury. Even better that I had 11/2 against an SP of 7/2 😁 When he drifted back a bit down the back I thought he’d be vulnerable to younger legs but a great ride from young Chad Bament

    The Cheltenham Festival 2025

TBH I think the same can be said most years. My memory isn’t as good as it used to be but I think when I used to go to all 3 days of the festival in the 1990s it was a favourites graveyard and the safest bet in town was selling the favourites index. I think it was after the foot & mouth year...

JP hasn’t got anything other than this one in the Stayers I don’t think. I’m hoping the opposite to you and that he’ll be keen to have a runner in a championship race

    How Often Do You Bet?

Like others mostly confined to weekends and the festivals but look most days to see if something interests me. Rarely look at Class 4 or below and mostly NH Small stakes only as I’ve always found the pain of losing £50 (say) outweighs the joy of winning the same

I’m sure I read something with Noel George that said Il Est Francais would avoid Fact to File and only go Ryanair if that one was going GC.

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Not frequently but have been to Badbury Rings a few times as it’s quite close but we’ve intended to go to Milborne St Andrew which isn’t too far I think. We’ll look out for you if we do end up going

Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

Unfortunately today’s weather put us off our usual trip to Badbury Rings today. Awful to hear this news it must have been incredibly upsetting for all involved with the horse as well as for those who did brave the weather RIP
