At least she had a valid excuse,Hammond hasn't! Might go back to Haydock a week Saturday, but will depend on how she gets on with the tongue tie.

Good job Hammond didn't tip any of them. She could jinx a horse in a walkover!

Must have been an invisible flag man at the last fence there. I can't recall anyone ever missing a fence in such spectacular fashion. At least he won't come up with some pathetic excuse like Waley Cohen did at Fakenham.

    Racing +?

I thought you might get a mention of the Sportsman in there somehow!! It's a good point you make about the spotlights which was why I was quite pleased with your write up of Tunza last week for his run at Kempton. Rather than the usual 'No sign of ability in 6 races' crap you actually...

Only the Best was pulled out. Presumably the ground was deemed a little bit quick for him. Very pleased with RDA who finished a good second in what admittedly on paper wasn't a good race but she appeared to stay and I'm sure will come on a bit for the run.

Our ickle string is busy at the mo. Tunza The Lion had a few runs now and has not showed much but did at least settle better at Kempton on Thursday. Yourelkemefrank returned from a years absence yesterday and needed it quite badly but showed good pace to halfway. He should be back in the...

Good day at Sheriff Hutton with many jockeys present for a day out (a few rerouted from Sedgy I think). Highlight on the track would be former Foxhunters winner Amicelli winning the Ladies Open.

Don't think Grays made it there this year. Weather permitting I'm hoping to go to the rearranged meet at Sherrif Hutton on Sunday.

    Ascot Refund

Good to see the ATR studio guests wearing orange stickers today, whether they were issued them on the course yesterday I don't know. Maybe they were wearing brown shoes (heinous crime or what!!) And they wonder why i'd rather buy a members badge at one of my local tracks (Plumpton) then spend the...

Female Trainers - on the up?

There's a few on the list no longer training or have had name changes. Anabel King gone back to her married name of Murphy. Stef Hggins,Norma Twoomey & Mouse Hamilton Fairley no longer train and I don't think Sam Davidson does either. Not sure about Sally Anne Wheelwright with Mujamead having...

Don't worry Chef I had to wait 5 years and then had two in just over a week!! Bit of a lull after that until the five wins from Frank (soon to return from injury). I see Red Skipper has been declared tomorrow, presumably he won't run again. RDA could go to Southwell on Wednesday.

Yes I saw that as a horse I have an ickle share in Red Danger Angel could be going for the bumper on the same card.
