    Today's Curragh G1s

I'm glad to see my idea of White Birch backed up by some actual expertise! Even though it's a relatively strong turnout I think 3s is a decent price for the best horse in the race.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Disappointing second, didn't look very comfortable

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Even allowing for the 4yos to have improved, 3/1 surely too big for Running Lion in the 2:25 at Haydock.

    Irish 2000 Guineas.

Thread horse "Rashy" now into 12s all round. Only 365 offering 14s.

    Irish 2000 Guineas.

I had to look that up... Wingspan I, came 5th in the Triumph won by Kribensis. A prolific winner of handicap chases, pulled up in Deep Sensation's Champion Chase. And, er ... not by Dubawi out of Hydrangea.

    Irish 2000 Guineas.

    A full brother to Wingspan.

    The 2025 Derby

Unibet seem to be the only firm so far with prices on the Irish Derby, but if you're interested in Purview, they are offering 50s.

Frankel v Brigadier Gerard. The greatest showdown.

Brigust, I take it you are the narrator in the video? In which case, you were Brigadier Gerard's lad? What a gift. I get why this is a passion project for you. You must have some grand memories of the Brigadier.

    The 2025 Lockinge Stakes

This is the way I would be betting, but I'm concerned about the ground for Tamfana... Should I be?

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

I'm sold on your reasoning, guys. Can I offer up an e/w double with the next race? Bareback Jack was rated 137 as a novice hurdler. Off for 3 1/2 years after injury. They persisted with his comeback and on his third race back he won off 117, in a manner that the RP described as 'comfortably'...

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

Visionarian, 6:05 Punch He seems to prefer the warmer months. There's a whole host of reasons why he's 33/1, but sunshine and better ground might be enough to get him running closer to his best levels.

Landed the place... Not sure the jockey was exactly all out

    The 2025 Longshot Thread

Not bad ... beaten by a better horse, but the place consoles.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

I've backed Hansard at 8/1 in the 4:05 at Plumpton: on a winning mark; a home fixture (CD winner); back at the right trip after trying further last time out. But I had a fitful night of dreams and they all included people telling me to back one of Willie Mullins' horses... What to do?

Does anyone follow this kind of thing?

It reminds me of the famous Charlie Munger quote: "Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome"

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Yes, disappointing. Fair assessment that he didn't pass the jumping test. I'm glad for the Skeltons, but it will all come down to Sandown and Willie has so many to choose from. And what have they got in the 365? I guess Hoe Joly Smoke is the one.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

I've done Blow Your Wad, in the 2:40 at Chelt, 11/2. As if the horse's name wasn't a bad enough omen, I have also walked under a ladder by taking the dreaded 365 boost. Edit: I see since updating this page that others have too. Fingers crossed.
