Morning all, There’s an amateur race today at Ludlow at 16:37. Only four horses, sadly, but Eleanor Williams is the only jockey with recent form in the book (1-3, over the past 14 days). Two points win on at 4/1, Pooroldmackley.

From the past 14 days, yes. The thread looks for the ‘shortcut’. I don’t know these jockeys of whom you speak. I just back the horse whose jockey has relevant form over the previous 14 days.

Both losers. It actually looked like a poor ride from our crack amateur jockey, but he would have been under trainer instructions, surely. The horse went off too quickly, and finished last. Innse Gall was never involved. The field finished strung out like the washing - it was a typical amateur...

Would an inspection of horses in the parade ring pay dividends here, jinny? Look out for the horse looking “well” in their coat, sort of thing?

I was at school around that time too, Ian. There was also a mini-revival of the mods v rockers (or “grebs”, as they were now known), spurred on by the film ‘Quadraphenia’. I flitted between the two, before finding my landing ground as a New Romantic/ Indie fan.

Update: Hashtagnotions has not been declared, so Eireann is now on Epicurean Lad. Absolute scenes! Looks like a 10-runner race, and all horses have been claimed by a jockey. No prices up yet, so I’ll be back tomorrow when I have more info to play with.
