    Brian Hartigan

What very sad news. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. Will surely be sadly missed, but never forgotten, by all who had the honour of knowing him. Rest in peace, Brian.

    Beef, what beef?

I`m sure though he may find it occasionally irritating, DO is intelligent enough to ignore his mainly two, err, critics! I, for one, value his contributions.

    The UK Political Landscape

And, arguably, given the opinions of some who know him, Johnson was a remainer at heart. Brexit merely being a means to further his own ambitions. It`s a funny old world!!

    The UK Political Landscape

I see the headline in this weeks Spectator asks if "Partygate" is a "Remoaner" plot:D. It seems that the bigger the mess Brexit becomes, and the more people realise they`ve been had, then the greater the cry goes out to blame it all on the people who voted sensibly. I wait to see how, if ever...

    The UK Political Landscape

A whole country taken for mugs...and he`ll still remain in office. What an awful country we`ve become. Well, at least we will get the national anthem played on the BBC if Mad Nad has here way! The rest of the world must be laughing at us. And I see his "employer", the Daily Telegraph, doesn`t...

    Picturesque Racecourse on TV

Definitely Killarney for me. I went there in 1981. The day before racing my wife and I were walking past the course and a very courteous chap asked if we intended going racing. We said we were and he offered to give us a guided tour of the course. He turned out to be the course secretary...

    The UK Political Landscape

Also, I understand the Mail on Sunday (hardly left wing) has reported that there is further unexpurgated footage of Allegra Stretton practising answering questions on his "love children", mistresses and affairs, financial matters, etc. How can you discredit the most discreditable PM in living...

    The UK Political Landscape

I think it beyond belief that a newspaper would fake a photo to discredit him. He is quite capable of doing that on an increasingly regular basis. Also, there would be a record of his movements on that day. And not a single government member, let alone Johnson, has disputed the photo.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Broderick Munro-Wilson:adore:....what a jock:D.

    The UK Political Landscape

I feel I`m terminally depressed at the state of our country. We seem to be in irreversible decline, not helped by the poor quality of politicians of all parties. We now seem to be governed by a few dozen loony right wingers with the backing of the loony media. What sane country would vote for the...

    Frost vs Dunne

That`s excellent news, DG. Thanks for posting It`s proof, IMO, that the great majority of our jockeys are not the cavemen certain posters would have us believe. I suspect it`s just the odd dinosaur( unfortunately they exist in most walks of life). Obviously they have given the matter serious...

    Frost vs Dunne

I suspect he will appeal and have a few months reduction. If he had any sense, or common decency, he would issue a public apology.

    Frost vs Dunne

"Telling tales out of school!!!!!!!" I despair....a young woman is the subject of foul, obscene and disgusting abuse in her place of work yet to make an official complaint about it is described as "telling tales out of school!!" You couldn`t make it up!! What a "rancid" view.

    Frost vs Dunne

One of the most moving aspects of the case was the testimony of the young amateur rider, Hannah Welch, who testified that Dunne`s behaviour towards her was a major factor in her giving up the sport. What sort of man verbally abuses and threatens young women (20 years or more younger than him)? I...

    Frost vs Dunne

The cavemen of the Weighing Room will not like that!! Dread to think how they will treat Bryony now. A brave woman. I await McCoys reaction!

    Frost vs Dunne

I think McCoy`s childish tweet does Dunne`s case no good at all. Just emphasises how immature and out of touch many of the "cavemen" of the Weighing Room are. What`s hard about bullying and using using foul, and again, childish abuse against a young woman? They need to grow-up and learn to be...

    Frost vs Dunne

I find it difficult to see how objecting to bullying, threats of violence and exposing oneself, particularly to a young woman, can be considered to be regarded as "politically correct." In my years of working such behaviour would not be regarded as acceptable, except, perhaps, by the...
