What % of a 'typical' NH horse is 12 stone? What % does an extra 7lb amount to? Surely it isn't the 'straw that broke the camel's back' in carrying what must amount to an insignificant bit of extra for such large animals.

Same as Gus, I was just getting into racing around the time of Shergar and Swinburn. Became a massive Stoute follower probably due to the great rides WS seemed to give such a lot of his horses. Only 2 years older than me too, way too young for such a talent to be lost. RIP

Just back from a week away and first thing I have seen. Gutted. Carried my biggest ever bet on course when backed him at Aintree ( 4/6 I think ) when he completely pinged every fence and I never had a moments worry. Truly great champion and will be missed.
