Just when you think the BHA can't get any more stupid and deluded.....

Sorry, yes, it was a long reply and I now know I’m limited to 10,000 characters if I get carried away again. I had to edit my message to remove the addressing of your second email about Bookmakers. I agree with you more on that one. This is what I would have said: I do agree that today’s...

The word “offered” is also interesting. I agree with Slim, they should have run him if they wanted a mark.

As with everyone else, you are entitled to your opinion. I see things a bit differently though. As my comments are generally supportive of the BHA, I’m not imagining they will garner a lot of support here, but that is no reason not to put them forward. You could argue it is a low bar, but I...

I wouldn’t say they don’t care, because I think Horse Racing does still get people into the shops, and from there they can entice a proportion of these customers onto machines or other betting opportunities that are not Horse Racing.

Just when you think the BHA can't get any more stupid and deluded.....

In last years Ebor, the overground was 137%, when there were 20 runners, so 141% is in line with this for the 22 who ran yesterday. For comparison, the last 2 Grand Nationals were 137 and 138%. It does seem high, though we are often quoted the 2% per horse stat by Ed Chamberlin. So, I suppose...

Well done with that one. Hope you had plenty on.

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

Me too, but I only had 66’s. He ran very well, as did 2 more of your original selections. I wouldn’t give upon Shadow Dance either.

Maranoa Charlie ran a cracking race as he will surely be better on softer going. The Foret on Arc day will surely be next on his agenda.

Hope you have a great day. I'll be watching the Leeds game too, through my fingers, and hoping for the best.

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

He is back to 40/1 now. I'm not worried about the drift at this stage as others are being backed, so some have to drift. Remember the same connections had Aalto nearly winning the Bunbury Cup last month after drifting from 14/1 to 40/1. If you fancy Enemy, you don't have to be put off.

In the nicest possible way, I hope you have a bit of a stinker after Checkandchallenge. Not only am I not on any of the others, Sea of Kings, Lake Forest and Erzindjan are my three Tracker horses for the day and I have chosen to ignore them all. I was on Erzindjan last time at a very big price...

Apparently this is his final race, so Happy Retirement to him, he's been a great servant to his connections.

They have washed their hands of Sanitiser in this race (Non-Runner - Going) - so presumably it's to be Epsom on Monday? He has been declared there (8 runners).

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

Jason Weaver had gone for Enemy - giving same reasoning as on here. Matt Chapman very dismissive and thinks he is too exposed & making up the numbers. Let’s hope Jason knows best.

The 2025 York August Meeting Day 4 (Saturday) Thread

In the 3.00, it does look likely the race will be run to suit Rosallion, as Audience and/or Quinault, are likely to go off very fast, possibly to the detriment of each other. I couldn’t be backing him at his short price though, especially with slight doubts about his recent fitness. I’ve backed...

Enter Sandman 3.10 Newmarket 25/1. Only run once and didn’t sparkle, now turns up in £62k Sales race for Richard Spencer. What is interesting is that David Egan rides it, even though Two Tribes, who he won Stewards Cup on, runs at York (albeit Ryan Moore booked for that one). Run Boy Run and...
