Very pleasing decs with Fox Legacy not going in the King's Gambit race. Maranoa Charlie still very backable in the Group 1 and he's a front runner so unless that prick Quinault troubles him he should have a great chance. I'm gonna top up and put some IR lays in an short prices.

Salamanca City has another go at one of these this evening and he's worth an interest (6.45). He was second at Chepstow and the front end (was beaten by the pace setter) was definitely advantaged that day.

That's fair but over the extended 10f do you need acceleration? It's a grinder type race, not a turn of foot one. Singspiel beat Bosra Sham in it, Postponed and Australia won decent renewals.

Calandagan (best horse in training imo unless Ombudsman and/or Delacroix take his crown in this) somewhat refutes this. I'm balls deep in Ombudsman, have him in half a dozen rollovers and was getting excited when it looked like he might face a Ballydoyle Whirl challenge rather than a Delacroix...

Totally the wrong race for him. If he couldn't peg back a handicapper over a longer trip at Goodwood what chance at York in a race that is sure to be run at a nice pace. Clueless planning imo.

Words cannot adequately describe what a f$%^ing waste of space Charlie Hills is. It's so frustrating picking a horse out to follow and the c*** who trains it runs it over the wrong trip. He's not his dad that's for sure.
