Upcoming Point To Points and Hunterchase's

Yes I imagine that was the case. It's all too easy to say the course looks fine but if you can't get a 4x4 ambulance around the course then it's not going ahead.

Impaire et Passe - well two out in the Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park, you wouldn't have said he was the winner and Sa Fureur looked like he had his measure but he came with a fair old turn of foot and PT I don't think even picked his stick up. A good run. (only stuck him in this thread as I...

    Champion Hurdle 2026

As you say, doesn't tell us much BUT Alexei will enjoy the hopefully better ground at Cheltenham and we know the course suits. He looked a little lairy going to the last and I'd be tempted to put some sort of headgear on (cheekpieces prob) to get him to concentrate next time. Is he a contender...

Chapman went out with a close friend of mine about 30 years ago. He was not particularly nice to her and I remember going out to dinner with them to the Italian in Newmarket (plus my ex). Chapman spent the entire evening ridiculing her, calling her fat, useless and a waste of oxygen. As she had...

Tapeta vs Polytrack Explained: Key Differences in UK Synthetic Horse Racing Surfaces and Which Tracks Use Them

Tapeta was invented by the legend that is Michael Dickinson - interesting article on him where he talks a bit about the surface: https://www.thoroughbredracing.com/articles/2319/michael-dickinson-how-i-plan-make-better-life-my-horses/ And a bit more on the actual surface...

    Forum Horse Connections

Well I was stood in my mechanics yard next to some rank chicken arks with zero signal. Managed to get the betting moves so I knew she was going well and that she won. Not seen the race yet but the owner is very happy. The mare is sort of named after his late wife who passed away 5 years ago and...

Point Blank: We’re Never Going to See a Jockey Holding a Bag of SWAG

Fairly recently we had a case within the Pointing industry where a trainer was up for a doping case. It was the most obvious case going. The case was prepared for the BHA and the trainer was looking at a lengthy ban (there had been plenty of other incidents including extreme threatening...

Both happens. It's an easy way to get a few pounds off without raising any suspicion from the stewards if it then goes and pisses in next time off a revised winnable mark. I flagged up Riskintheground as being a potential ground dependent horse who seems to have been run over the wrong trip and...

Upcoming Point To Points and Hunterchase's

I think there were 94 runners in the end but possibly the 105 came from the number declared. There were some late withdrawals due to ground and also the delays due to a horse being injured.

    Irish Racing Thread

I don't think some people realise how some horses really lose confidence in that sort of ground. I was talking to a friend last night who said her horse kept refusing to jump out hunting on Saturday when he normally pops over everything. I asked what the ground was like and she admitted it had...
