    Cheltenham Trials Day- Saturday

Possible pelvic fracture - early days to speculate on prognosis. Depends on if it's affected anything else internally. I have seen them recover well from such an injury and equally lost a horse with one.

Don't know. It was an infection of his tendon or ligament?

    Cheltenham Trials Day- Saturday

It looked like a hind leg. Fingers crossed he's done something like slipped a tendon off his hock which is survivable (Teeton Mill did that) rather than a fracture. At least there is a veterinary hospital on site now.

I agree and this trainer just found it amusing. As he trains in Newmarket, there are several firms of vets, farriers etc who take them on when their competitors refuse. This guy is now "employed" by his owner who is the company director and theoretically pays the bills. It sucks especially as...

Backing Venetia Williams' Chasers In November with Andrew Mount

I spoke to my friend today who used to work there and still has connections. She said they have looked at everything - bloods all good and horses are looking and training well. No obvious cause but they are completely flummoxed as to why. I did suggest she mentioned checking the water issue I...

Several trainers are currently doing this. I remember being up at the BHA and there was a trainer there who was pleading for his licence (part of the terms then were that you were a "fit and proper" person and not a bankrupt. Anyway said trainer was interviewed with his main owner who set up a...

    New Point To Point Forum

Seems I am hanging on by the skin of my teeth after Ms Palin decided to let her horse walk through the fence yesterday and wrestle it to the ground, when seemingly going OK allowing Ms Nicholls (who I am a fan of) to take the spoils. Just counted out the number of entries, Gordon and 48 is...

The Official Constitution Hill Thread 2025/26

He seems to jump them fine when loose but he definitely gets it wrong with Nico on board. He jumped OKish in Ireland when James Bowen deputised albeit ballooning a few. And no doubt he's schooled and schooled over these sort of hurdles at home. I know they have brought Yogi Breisner in who is...

Ah she was the best! I think she's still alive and kicking in Brighton? She appointed herself Gate B*tch at Brighton and Lingfield and woe betide anyone who tried her patience. Great lady.
